I would want to put all of this ******** behind me so that it doesn't keep coming up. Better to make one big change and be done with it than dragging it out year after year. There has to be a way to change the plantation image without totally ruining the essence of the University of Mississippi.
If I were a fan of UM I would want to see them change the mascot name to something from the past. The Flood kind of fits the bill but maybe something with a southern charm like Magnolia's or UM Moss or UM Grove or something. (I know those are gay but I'm just throwing out idea's.)
You would have to change from Ole Miss to University of Mississippi. Maybe use The University of Mississippi like we do to give themselves more emphasis.
Keep the Dixie songs away for good and use another old south music like blues or something.
Get rid of it all once and for all. Dragging it out only helps their rivals.
