Looking at the records of the teams still playing. Has there been more wins amongst the 12 state finalist than this year?

2013 came up two wins short mainly due to James Monroe's 10-4 record coming in.

2012 was at a disadvantage as not everyone played 5 rounds of the playoffs, but they tied this year, mainly due to the AAA schools.

Brookville 13-0, James Monroe 12-1
Goochland 13-1, Essex 14-0,
George Wythe 13-1, Honaker 13-1

So even though 4 of the schools that year played fewer games, they still tied this year. 2012 had the fewest losses of any season, I believe as 7 of the teams were undefeated and 5 came in with only 1 loss. That's a total of 5 losses. 2014 has 9 losses.

I don't have access to all the numbers, but I would bet 2012 was by far, from a winning pct. stand point the strongest field of teams ever.
