So after thinking back on the game, I started to think about bama losing at home to LA Monroe. Obviously they werent that bad last year. Im kinda undecided on this but do you think that this loss was a fluke, or a turn of the corner back to the same ole state, or was all of last year a fluke?

It's most likely a combination of a false sense of how good the team was (within themselves), a few coaching blunders that probably won't happen again, a WAC team getting up for an SEC team, the game being on the road and suspensions/injuries.

Pat Dye said it best on Finebaum yesterday. "It's hard to get ready to play after the game's started."

Louisiana-Monroe is NOT who we lost to last Saturday night. That was Louisiana Tech.

We are not coached well enough to win a game outside of SeLa and maybe MTSU. We saw last year what can happen if our offense keeps mistakes to a minimum and our defense capitalizes on mistakes from the other teams. This year we will not have the defense to win games for us.

that his communication skills were worse than Correro's, it was obvious that we were in for deep....

but i would rather lose to LaTECH away on the first game then lose to ULM for homecoming. And it seems like bama was able to salvage something out of last year. I'm not saying we're gonna win out.....I'm just saying that with our remaining schedule there is still NO EXCUSE to not win 6. If we cant win six with this schedule.....well....nevermind.....

We`re playing a whole bunch of kids who we stole away from the LaTechs and Troys of the world. Croom`s recruiting has been only marginally better than his coaching and this group(and last year`s) can`t win without excellent coaching and some luck especially against SEC teams. Our only excellent coach is gone, lady luck is a fickle ***** and our depth is not good in most areas. Some of last year`s success was a fluke but reproducing last year`s success this year would be the mother of all flukes.

I do not give a **** what everyone else thinks... I do think we are not as bad as we played this past weekend.
At this stage 17 E. Johnson, ...I do not think we will go to a bowl, but I think we will be competitive, from here on out.
I was a six packer long before there was a six pack... keep your cool for now.

has been mentioned on here, we were only 2 pick-sixes and 1 punt return (all un-common plays) away from being 4-8 last year. I do admit that I was feeling a little wooly until just before halftime Saturday night but now, the last year being a fluke thing has taken an overwhelming lead in my sense of this team and its coaches. And I'm like HD6 or was it DS that said we'll always have that 'what if' even if we win a few games this year.

LA Tech had 2 touchdowns. On drives of 13 and 9 yards. For the game they got the ball 5 times on our side of the field and only got 16 points out of it. They also got it 4 other times between their own 39 and midfield. So exactly what could Ellis Johnson have done to win this game?

We all need to be pissed off about this game, but let's at least be pissed off at the coaches and players who deserve it.

Biggest difference for me: We are in year five with Croom. Bama was in year one with Saban. I'd say losing to a Sun Belt team at home is worse than losing to a WAC team on the road, though.
