While we were driving around St. Augustine during the week and to the game on Saturday, we saw a lot of Dawg fans. We would roll our windows down and start ringing the cowbells. I was amazed at how many MSU fans just gave us blank stares. Like we were crazy or something. I noticed people 40 and over just looking at us like we were freaks or something. Even in the parking lot prior to the game and after, there were those that acted like we were stupid. I know I may have had too much to drink, but a dumb, stupid drunk I am not.

Did anyone else notice that some MSU fans were too good to get a little wild and crazy? Maybe it was just me.

It can be like that in certain sections at Davis Wade as well. It can be down right disgusting at times but it has been better since Mullen arrived.

Must have just been you. I saw no such MSU fan(s) that you describe. All were having a great time and drinking as much as the young folks as far as I could tell.

I sat in the North end zone, and we stood up and rang and cheered the whole game. Most people would turn around (while sitting in their seats) and look back at us like we were crazy. The fans were kinda loud, but not even close to what we could have been. I'm pretty sure less than 10% of the people in my section were ringing or cheering loudly.

If I stink or have a mullet, I certainly don't. Maybe you mean that I drop F-bombs in front of kids or preachers, I don't do that either.

It's a fair question, but I actually laughed when I read it.

3 out of 10 people I see on the roads who are obvious State fans act like I am about to rob them when I wave or honk (in a friendly fashion) at them. Some wave really big and wave, others sit there as you describe.<div>It seems indicative of our fanbase at games. There are the excitable sections and then the sections of old timers who are either too cool/elite to clap and yell or just to hardened by the 80's and 2000's to get too worked up.</div>

I'm sure I've given people the confused look before if they're simply waving. The reason, though, would be that I haven't seen their MSU identifiers on their car if they're coming up alongside and thus I am left wondering who in the world these people are. Then, when they go on ahead and I see that they've got a State tag, well, I understand.

Now if someone is obviously wearing maroon or showing a cowbell, then I know what they're trying to say and I respond in kind.
