I'm trying to do a lot of catch up, so there are some things i need to know about your team/game...

1. Bronco is slightly down, meaning they will likely win state and are a top level team in IL....but did you all see this kind of win coming...im not calling it a main southing, but it was as bad a loss as bronco has seen in some time.

2. In recent past, the complaints were the offense play calling was not fitting the talent....and had changed after some shuffling...do the players now fit the play calling or does the play calling now fit the players..

3. MS...hmmm....probably still is QBU....was it the QB or more of an all team effort?

4. My big one....you all know this, IMO, MS is special when they have the scat back running threat...really sorry I missed this game and have to ask, but is the scat back there....who was that one real fast small cat?

Hello JChill.... Always good to see your around!

I'm pretty sure MS4 will chime in here so I will try to be brief..

1. Nobody saw this coming. For years we have thought this Sr and Jr group may do well but never had a way to gauge it. A lot of hard working kids.
FWIW: Montini will be fine!

2. MS has typically been more successful the more mobile the QB is. In this case, this QB gives MS more offensive flexibilty than they might have had the last couple of years
Fair to say it's a little of both.

3. Total team effort. I think the defensive group should get more props than drops as Bronco only really had 2-3 plays that mattered.

4. Funny you should say... why yes, MS does have a very formidable "scat back" as you refer. Fotis Kokosioulis along with Nick Leongas make up the tag team duo:
"The Greek Freeks".

Fotis is particularly quick, and significantly stronger than he appears.

Hopefully that answers your questions JChill!

DVR'd the game and was surprised at Fotis' strength as well. He's awfully quick, but extremely strong for a RB listed at 165 lbs. Will be interested to see how he performs against the Ramblers. Really liked MS' O-line play and their stable of wideouts. And the QB is very mobile. They dominated the Broncos in all phases.

1. No. History usually repeats itself so I think everyone thought it would be close including us. I predicted 31-21

2. I think the players fit better. Last year everyone knew it was a weak Senior class. This year our QB will allow more to happen and also give the OC the offense he is used to calling.

3. Team for sure! Defense is of average size but they can all run. Our NG is like a Sparty Chino clone!

4. You would have to be talking about Danny Benson 06-07. All 5'6 150# of him. Just a freak for his size. And yes Fotis Kokosiolous definitely fits that mold you are looking for.

I still remember Danny Benson's block on a GBS linebacker that looked twice his size. Knock the kid out cold.

MS won this game in the trenches. QB and running back had huge holes to run thru and when it wasnt there they went outside and made big yards. They also were impressive in third and long and made a lot of them. QB made some really nice throws when his receivers where covered and the running back altho small ran thru some tackles. I will be extremely interested in seeing how they do against Loyola. I think they will win in a close game.

MS could use the Junior QB and will have success (he is not quite as mobile as the senior but can see over the line much better and his arm is the same.) MS lost the game this past weekend because the senior couldn't see over the line to put the ball into the hands of the receiver. But if you are missing Fotis Kokosioulis MS will be no where as successful. He is the game changer. Small 5 yard dink passes get you nowhere but it is the yards after catch that I look at. Fotis turns a 5 yard pass into a 30 yard gain. That's where the credit goes. Fotis should be the player of the week not the QB.

Still not sold on the QB at MS sorry guys. I saw a lot that needs improvement. (I hate self given names too like the Greek Freak, purely promotional) The O line with Jarvis is pretty solid. The defense needs some work too. Mont and Loyola were down some key players so that takes away a lot.The key here is Fotis Kokosiolous. I haven't seen moves like that since Preston. The next two games should be no problem. But then look out for New Trier and Evanston boys!

Hey JAG,
Fotis is certainly doing an exceptional job. I gave the name Greek Freaks, not them. No promotion here at all.

Were you in Barrington Friday?
Our O line was sad at best, and I can promise you there are kids on our o line that certainly don't want any schools seeing that film.

Let's meet up tomorrow night at the game and discuss!

You up for it?
