...is the north endzone at Vaught Hemingway still set up so you can't escape from there to other parts of the stadium? The wife (an Ole Miss fan) and I were thinking about getting one of the Ole Miss minipacks so we could go to both the Egg Bowl and the SC game (an MSU off-week) for $60 each. It's been four years since I visited the glorious metal bleacher endzone, so I don't know if things have changed for the better.

Unfortunately yes. Hopefully, they will remedy that soon, at least to where you walk around the entire stadium.

...that the north endzone is where the real high quality walk-on fans sit, the type that wear their rebel flag button-up shirts to the game and pledge allegiance to the CSA.

Maybe. It always seemed like that was where a bunch of the visitors were placed. There and at the SE corner. Regardless, I wouldn't think it's the best place to see the game.

Yea, I'm pretty sure, especially with the South Endzone complete, that the North Endzone seats are the cheapest in the house. Therefore, outside of the visiting section we have in that endzone, you're probably looking at the "best of the best" when it comes to our fanbase. Your walk up fans that decide to take the home off the cinder blocks and drive it up for the weekend are most likely your North Endzone fans.
