....what is the ticket situation usually? Are walk-up tickets usually available, or is there a scalper market? My brother is a student at USM and is wanting to go up.

Thanks....

This is the one big time event that still has a hometown feel. People tail gate in the parking lot and people sell tickets not scalpers. You have some there but the locals really support the event and try to help fans out. They will probably have general admission tickets due to the place being huge. May have to sit in the outfield but what State fan would complain about that?

We've never been there with Creighton or Nebraska - I heard the year that both of them made it tickets were harder to come by. You should be able to walk up and buy books/individual session tickets

...Lines to get in the stadium are even longer. Our last trip, we missed the first 2 innings of the UNC game while we waited for over an hour in line just enter the outfield stands. Traffic is a joke, as there's one way on and off the interstate.

In short, take lots of cash and patience.... and he'll have a blast.

Stood in line for about two hours before the first game to get seats. Then most of the outfield General Admission ticket holders leave the game by the 7th inning to get back in line for the next game. After standing in that line for the first game, I decided to sell my GA to a scalper and bought reserved seating seats for the rest of the games.

I don't know if they are moving to the new stadium this year or next. I went in 98 and had no problem getting tickets even when we played LSU. Yeah, I drove all the way to Omaha to watch us play Florida and LSU. I think I read that the first year in the new park that they will only be able to seat about 9,000. I think the other one seats close to 20,000.

but that wait to get tickets and get inside was almost unbearable. The only other thing I could compare that situation to was the Saints-Colts scrimmage in Jackson but to a much lesser extent. Tickets are easy to come by if you order immediately and general admission is great sitting in the outfield because baseballs rain on you during warm ups when they let the batters swing for the fences.

That was the one thing I remember before we played Louisville was how they were hitting the baseball out of the park so easily during warm ups. I knew we were going to lose from that point and seeing their midget shortstop or 2nd baseman (can't remember of the two) drill a homerun in the game was about as bad as it gets.
