This game shows how much the AD takes for granted "Blue Gets In" and how Kentucky Basketball fans show up on the road. Our willingness to travel across the country to support UK basketball has allowed UK to play in Atlanta or New York or Chicago or Vegas or Nashville. Some of those not inexpensive trips. The fans who filled, FILLLED that arena last night deserved the kind of team and kind of game we can see today with Sparty vs Blue Devils. We are nowhere near the program we used to be and Barnhart has overseen that decline, (even encouraged it imo, but that is a different conversation.) Squandering that visibility and the visibility of the players in the NBA, which is a temporary advantage, is unconscionable.

I don’t feel comfortable saying anything until something definitive comes. It wouldn’t be responsible of me to start rumors that the extent of is unknown. I believe it’s several issues culminating into one giant sht storm. It doesn’t matter anyway, this is going to all come to light eventually if it’s true. I believe several have spoken to some of it already. If I do I will. I’m not high up in anything I’m a regular alumni who has had a few privileges. But the only thing that matters here is this is the worst situation I’ve ever seen UK in and Barnhart has to go. It’s his mess.
Just come out with it. Don’t understand this. Sound like pope, something happened before the game but I’m not ready to talk about yet. We are on a freaking message board, this isn’t worldwide press news. Just spill what you hear, don’t care if it ends up being true or not.

I was in the arena tonight as well and it was LOUD. I told my son that had to have came through on TV

It came through in ways I’ve never heard the UK fan base come through. I was utterly shocked. It wasn’t just loud, it was definitive.

What you share may not be the full truth but you never know. It’s not like there are consequences for you sharing information that turns out to be false. You aren’t going to make the 6:00 news. It’s for our viewing pleasure only. It’s throwing a big wow this is bad with what I’ve heard and then just leave everyone hanging.

I don’t think he would appreciate that and he post / mainly reads here. It’s pointless anyway, me saying something isn’t going to matter and one of the issues have been touched on anyway. But it might be more than just one problem here. we need entirely new leadership.

Yeah, I like Morg but that's a tease. Don't do that man.

Based on what you've seen/heard, does Pope survive the year? Yes or no?

I'm one of those old timers who never boo players (still didn't tonight), but if you're going to take money to play, you have to take the bad with the good. Haven't seen a performance this bad since the 2nd half vs LSU in 87. Can't blame any fan for booing this. At this point I'd rather see Walker and Zach play than some of these guys. They seem to have Zach Calzada syndrome, they've got their money and don't care what we think.
Maybe the players have never been in this position before UK and if someone offers you millions you take it, that’s not their fault. It’s been said numerous times but these guys are merely role players expected to do something they are not built for. We have coaches that are not good at evaluating players

Just to clarify- pope was too far away and walking too fast. Cody F was the one that looked like he was lost.
But speaking of Pope . He talks and acts like he knows all about the “Kentucky experience “. But he was really just here 2 years. And that time was one of the most special of times .

He talks about fan’s expectations and things . But he’s never really seen what we’re like when things are going bad .

He knows now , lol.

I was at the game and booed loudly when deserved. Going into tunnel I booed as loud as I could until Pope exited. I had a fan come down to where I was to chastise me for booing my team and how I shouldn’t do that. I politely responded by saying “I’m a season tickets holder contributing to this 22 million team and I will continue when I want to express myself regarding the crap just witnessed they’re professionals now not amateurs!” I’m sure when disagreeing with officials boos loudly and they get paid way less. If the coaches aren’t holding them accountable then the fans have to.
Was it Mitch Barnhart?

Not suggesting players shouldn't have taken the money offered, but along with the money comes the responsibility to put forth your best effort. Even if the other guy is better, you can still battle. Not seeing this from hardly anyone on this team.

it was more than hearing them, the TV crew delayed going to the halftime show to show the fans booing the team as they left the court.

I have never...ever...seen that in college ball.

While I understand the booing and am not against it, I thought it was kinda disrespectful to Pope.

anyways, agree with everyone - when players are getting paid more money than the fans will earn in 10 years, you as a player perform, or at least show the effort and appreciation, otherwise you're going to hear about it.

The players asked for this. Now they're getting everything that comes with it.

Pope paid with other people’s money to bring these guys here. He’s coaching and failing to perform up to expectations. We were preseason top 10 with a $20 million roster. There’s no disrespect when you have to earn respect to begin with.

I'm talking specifically about the camera crew stopping to focus on the UK fans booing the players. It wasn't a good look, and while UK fans make take pride in the moment that they are showing they won't accept it, imagine being a recruit considering UK watching that. Imagine being Pope trying to recruit after that.

That wasn't a good moment for UK on many levels.

If it were up to most opposing fans, we’d never let Pope go.

Yeah, it's that and other's saying told you so about Cal. Sucks to suck right now because we have no valid defense or comeback.

We're in a crappy lose-lose situation it seems.

I’m with you. I was there but didn’t boo. Never would boo my team. UK bball has given me so many great moments. I can take a few bad losses without booing.

Not happy with what I saw. Better make some drastic changes including installing a primary zone defense

Cal has something to prove at Arkansas

He was washed here and it wasn't changing. I've watched that man for 15 years. No one is telling me a thing about him.

Yes. He looked shell shocked. Not mad, sad, etc. just had the look of someone that was just told they had 6 months to live or something. Not trying to make light of that- but it was just almost defeatist.
Hey ortho - sorry you had to set thru that disaster . Love the Cats and love Pope but he’s might be in over his head either way this group . ManitouDan

You have a point here. I can't see where the booing actually helps anything. I don't really care that they are getting paid or what they are getting paid. That said I still can't really blame people for booing one the worst half's of BB I've ever seen the Cat's play.
