Question for you GOT Nerds

[tired]

I've been binging it and I'm at the end of season 6. When Melisandre brought Jon Snow back to life, she got naked, turned old, and took a necklace or something off. What was all that about? Did I miss something, or will I learn more as I keep watching?

[Rockydawg]

It is what it is. No secret meaning there. The old lady is her true identity. She’s old as 17.

[dickiedawg]

Auger interesting timing for this question given the final scene from Sunday's episode.

[Chesusdog]

She is hundreds of years old. Her magic, and somehow the ruby on her amulet, keep up the appearance that she is a young woman.

[tired]

Was the amulet ever mentioned? I must've been asleep if so. Probably tired.

[Uncle Ruckus]

There is not mention of it or any flashbacks afterwards. Through Sunday night’s episode we still have no idea who she is or what her backstory is.
