Question regarding the McCorvey and Croom contracts...

I really didn't have a problem with Croom's raise because, like him or not, he did dig us out of an incredible hole. The McCorvey raise is inexplicable. It's even more ridiculous knowing now, according to Croom that he's not even calling the plays. What exactly does McCorvey do up there in the booth, and why do we even need him in the first place? It's not like he's torn up the recruiting trail while he's been here.

you're basically doing nothing. Did Croom lose a bet with Woody years ago? Woody has some kind of pics? What the hell are our athletic dept officials thinking about? Whether it's ever admitted or not, Croom has backed the dept. and the whole university for that matter into a corner that we're not getting out of anytime soon I'm afraid. If the BCA has questions as to why schools are reluctant to make the kind of hires they want, I'd like to present Exhibit A. Not saying it's fair or right or wrong but it's the cold hard truth.

Sure they would. Croom came into a horrible situation and made us more and more competitive before winning eight games and a bowl last year. If he doesn't get it turned around, and isn't forced to make changes with the offense he will be in hot water at the end of the year like anyone else.
