Question-Why did Mullen reshirt Russell?

I would bet a thousand dollars that if Dan could use the hindsight he has now he would have at least tried something differernt.. We may not have won another game and Lee may have ended up at QB anyway but he (at times) has been a one man wrecking crew to this football team and Dan damn sure knows that.

I think the LSU game royally messed Lee's head up. Ever since then, whenever we get into the red zone, you can see the fear in his eyes. If I fault Dan for anything, it would be that. But, anyway, also remember Mullen bitching about Lee not throwing enough in the off season. Dan knows QB's, and he knew that Tyson was crap.

The man knows a thing or two about coaching quarterbacks. Mullen's doing just about all that's humanly possibly to make chicken salad out of chicken ****, but there's only so much you can do.</p>

and we struggle next year with TR, then will Mullen get a pass? We could go 5 wins or less next year, which could be a very easy possibility. Next year, there are 3 games that we should win-Memphis, Alcorn, and UAB. After that, it's hit or miss and we've got the tougher conference games on the road. So tell me where we will get those other 3 wins? Arkansas, Kentucky, Georgia, Auburn? Those are our other 4 home games. I look at Snead possibly coming back based on his attrocious season so far. Mallett at Ark. will be better. Georgia will be back. That leaves Kentucky. After that, where is our other win? I just feel that if we don't get Newton, we are going to be looking the same way at this time next year.
