Under what circumstances and for what reasons would it be justified for angry citizens to storm the capitol?

A couple examples
Starving half a million children to death?
Government lying to its citizens to get them to agree to going to war?

Who gets to decide that? Too bad we don't have a system in place to vote people out. Oh well.

It is ok for us to over throw every other government in the world we disagree with through death and destruction, but there is no line our own government can cross to require being overthrown.
This only has one logical end.

There is no circumstances or reasons to justify storming the capitol.

Many Americans know nothing about their government. Schools should make civics a core subject.

I wouldn't say none. Never say never.

It would take historic, Hitler killing Jews, levels of cruelty to justify it though.

"...what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure."

Damnit, now I have to drink before noon. I started a game with my group yesterday that you had to take a shot every time you saw a reference to the tree of liberty needing refreshed. Only saw it once yesterday on here.

Along those lines, when is it appropriate to occupy a city for over a month? When is it appropriate to riot and burn and loot private businesses or trespass on private property? When is it appropriate to approach a gov. employee while they are having dinner with family? When is it appropriate to riot for social justice but not for possible voter fraud?

Better yet, who decides what is an appropriate excuse to riot? The press?- They seem to being that the entire time. The politicians.?..they have supported one group who riots and now denounce another?

In this little cess pool, the liberals sat on their hands for a year while many cities burned....crickets...and some changed their avatars to support the organizations that organized them. The conservatives on this board denounced it at every turn...and yesterday was no different....Jail the rioters...but now the liberals are trying to spin it as if the last year never happened...this is low level propaganda at it's best.

Is this a trick question? Never. That isn't the way to solve anything. And give this is the US, and we pride ourselves on the peaceful transition of power, the answer is never.

Under no circumstance. Thanks for the softball.
None. That was easy.

I think this was not a good reason, but I think our politicians has gotten to big for there britches..
They have let power go to their heads & need to realize power resides in the people.
Would love to see people from all political ideologies step up & march.
I'm against violence unless they try & change the constitution...then let all hell break loose

I think its been proven that no one can peaceably march or protest any more...whether it be on the left or right. Not a lot of MLKs out there any more. Seems like the only people that protest are ******* kooks w/ nothing better to do...again on both sides.
