If a loss in the conference tournament hurts Ole Miss and LSU why does it not hurt VA and Duke?

You are arguing getting in vs seeding. There has to be someone worthy of taking Duke and Virginia's seed which doesn't look favorable to finding a team that didn't blow every chance it had to get in which isn't nearly as hard to do.

Duke and UVA aren't bubble teams and will be in the field regardless. Bubble teams have to control their own destiny and you do that by winning.
