We were talking kids (In my opinion)earlier. This devolved into 18+ halfway through. I will say again 5x is a problem. Once. GFY. The older the perpetrators the less the tolerance. Agreed.

Why bring a car and park it in a tailgate area when you are afraid of it getting hit by anything? Go park that way in the back or don't bring it.
For kids, if you are doing something that is bothering someone else and they ask you to stop, why not do the friendlier thing?

Only kidding. They were definitely in the wrong here - you're talking cars and tailgates, but what if they hit a little one with that football? It's real easy to walk and find an open place to throw the ball. We do that all the time when we want to toss the football or a frisbee.

Lol. But I thought part of the perfect life was that both parents worked all day and night ...and they were free to roam wherever and became much more responsible world citizens because of it.

Ah yes the ever popular participation trophy boogeyman--a concept that was invented by boomers but is now used by boomers to blame the younger generations for everything.
Certainly mom only worked in the house at cooking, cleaning and caring for the children. And dad of course had to work all day and night. Anything else would be chaos.
My grandparents called it that. One of my favorite old timey words.
There's no right or wrong in that situation. It's a spur of the moment type of thing. You have the right to ask them to move, and if they were good kids, they would have complied with your request. They sounded like real wiseasses who do not respect others' rights.
