For all the seemingly new board user names, would you like to tell who you were on the old boards? I know some mentioned they had to take a new name because they couldn't get signed or forgot the email address they originally signed up with. I couldn't remember mine either and managed to change my name back to what I last used. I have seen a couple of Bear fans with names I recognize, and wondered if everyone would like to tell us their old username. Of course, I am still TD for short.

Otis is actually my first name, but I was the 3rd, and I go by my middle name, and my Dad went by Otis and some called him Jr. So I am now Otis of Mayberry but not the town drunk. lol

Yea I go by my middle name as well. I always found it frustrating but I don’t like my first name either. My daughter is expecting now and I told them I don’t care what they name it but call it by its first name!
I worked in the log woods in the early 80’s and I saw a friend chase what he thought was a coon into some high weeds where it cowered up in some thick briars. You could get 40.00 for a coon back then so I was going to help him. Parted the weeds back and I saw it was a skunk! So I backed off and told my buddy he better leave it alone. He is still standing over it with the weeds parted. I just knew he was going to get sprayed. But he said he would be the only person in Piney Neck with a pet skunk. So he grabbed it had its tail pinned to his belly and turned that skunk around looked it in the face and named it Otis! My heart was pounding I just knew he was gonna get it. But that moment always stuck with me and used Otis on some other boards before preps.

It will get better when football kicks off on August 22, 2025, and starts looking like the old NCPreps boards. It will get wild again.

Just used Reno Hightower because I like the movie Best of Times. I was never a Reno though, more a Jack Dundee character who Robin Williams played.
