Questions about the dead period and media.

The answer to the first might negate the second and the answer to the second might negate the third.

1. Can reporters talk to recruits during the dead period? I would think so since they are not sanction by the NCAA.

2. Can said reporter be a alumni of the school that is recruiting a player?

3. Is that a way to circumvent the NCAA dead rule or any NCAA recruiting rule.</p>

I am not an expert in this, but I think there is a distinction between alums and boosters. Even still, I am not sure if boosters are denied contact with players during the dead period...it would be impossible to police if they are.
