Cal knows exactly what he’s doing. We won the game and that’s all that matters but if he would’ve kept Hagans out it would’ve killed his confidence and that’s the last thing we need.
What good is his confidence if we're sitting at home? He already lacks confidence and is too hesitant and that's why he played awful. His inability to shoot and hesitance to attack destroyed our offense. Several times when PJ or Reid were doubled we passed out to a wide open Hagans who would pump fake, give up the open look, and pass the ball with the shot clock running down. Quickley didn't hesitate and banged those 3's when they doubled off of him.

I heard you; but just as easily, we could have been flying back to Lexington last night with Hagans’ confidence intact...

This is March, your starting point, also can not have 7, 8 turnovers in one game with no offensive out put.. That is a one way ticket, to going home..

Hagan is Cals Harrison on this team...seems like he’s going to play him regardless of actually how he is performing...Going to get us beat. Quickley has been the better player for over a month now. At least he deserves some of KJ minutes as well.

KJ getting his own and Hagans terrible play almost gave the game to Houston.

Hagans made a huge huge stop at the end of the game. Yes he struggled, but you gotta give him credit for making the game winning play. He tracked down the ball and got it to our (almost) automatic free throw shooter.

They both bring different styles to the table...
We will need them both to produce to advance tomorrow.

Don't forget Quickley had a great first half. His +/- was 11, highest on the team, and he hit 2/3 3 pointers, half of the 3s we had for the whole game.

He is going to be a great player for us next year too.

Bbn need to use power of numbers to ensure he starts next season. I'm done with Hagans.

Hagans 11 TO from the PG spot the last two games :( We all should know by know some players have no leash and some not only have leashes but very very short ones . Been stated here already Hagans lost his confidence weeks and weeks ago . But we rode him to the bitter end .

Nobody else to roll with, could go with Quickly. But he will just end up going through the same eventually, freshman is still a freshman, it is never going to change. Unless Cal quits pushing so many players out the door, these kids get this pressure on them with no older, more experienced gaurds to fall back on, like how Michigan State has in a junior Winston or Virginia has in seniors Guy and Jerome, all of Kentucky's is freshman, all of Duke's was freshman, they are both home now. Should tell everyone something..

good post , I would have rolled quite a bit with IQ .. Hagans , the past month , hasn't done anything to offset his high rate of turning the ball over . We can live with a few TO's IF , if you are offsetting it with something . Plus IQ can shoot , The d runs away from Ashton .
