Quinn is one of my favorite underdog stories (if anyone really qualifies for underdog status after Duke).

Happy for him. It's a shame he has to pay those high California taxes though.

He will have a good shot with LA , but I agree the clippers would have been a better fit. The lakers signed Rhondo to two more years and another pg. with the clippers shipping off SGA Cook would be the main back up.

Also I like LeBron but probably would have been easier for cook to play with Leonard and George than LeBron too

Well at-least Rhondo is injury prone so that helps Cook see the court lol. Not a big LeBron fan except for the work he does off the court for charities. Great player but one would have thought Cook would have followed Durant to the Nets but for the lakers they also need trade pieces too.

Don't understand how someone can like LeBron off the court but not on the court....I mean he is no different than any other prima dona athlete. And if the decision is the worst thing he ever does them that's not too bad IMO....and as you said off the court he seems a great person

No I’m just saying I’m not a LeBron fan in general. Think he’s a great basketball player just not a fan. Don’t think he’s a prima dona just think he’s individually great but not team great. Him just like KD, Irving, Curry all need all stars to win it all. To be honest I never even watched a NBA final until Toronto was in it just because I liked Leonard and was tired of hearing about golden state and their all star assembled starting lineup.

Hate to tell you but no star has ever won a title by themself....everyone had another star...jordan bird magic all of them has major help from another star

Only one even close was Leonard this year and IMO if KD isn't hurt that series is over quickly...with GS winning easily

Lebron has torn apart more locker rooms, had more coaches fired and conspired with more competitors than I can remember

Fortunately, Californians are true patriots, so they don't mind being accountable for maintaining the system that afforded their opportunities in order that others not be adversely harmed by the arbitrary nature of compensation in an underregulated capitalist oligarchy.

I believe Quinn and Bron have a relationship.
Just spit-balling here, but at least some of the fallout between LeBron and Kyrie had to do with Kyrie's resentment that LeBron wanted to act like a father to him. Quinn really appreciated Nolan's mentorship in somewhat of a fill-in for his deceased dad; I could see Quinn's having the humility to accept mentoring that Kyrie found condescending and unnecessary.

For the last couple years, superstars have turned down the opportunity to play with Lebron. My theory on that would be Lebron takes too much of the glory when the team wins, and he likes to point fingers when the team loses. And yes, that’s coming from a Lebron fan.

Role players like Quinn and Tyus should LOVE the chance to play with Lebron though, I mean he’s only gonna get them wide open look after wide open look. Plus, with how thin this Lakers roster is, Quinn will be counted on for big minutes all season. I know it won’t happen, but if Tyus were to join the Lakers too, I may need to move to LA and pay those high taxes.

LeBron has been known for running the team his way. Rumors were already leaking that his camp and agent would look at seeking a trade had the lakers came up empty on another prime free agent .
Look at his days in Cleveland pre KI. If he was such a great teammate why couldn’t he attract all star level talent to play with him then.
Read an article today that made a good point. The lakers and clippers need to win now because both have risked a lot on two players bringing them a title.
I’m also glad for Cook he deserved the contract.

What locker rooms has he torn apart? Cleveland maybe but looking at it now i would say kyrie had a huge part in that as well

Kyrie was not big of an issue in Cleveland, and B. Stevens has come out to admit he played a huge role in the dysfunction of the Celtics. Especially trying to incorporate Gordon when it was not needed. Gordon being in the starting lineup hurt team chemistry more than Kyrie's individual playing!

LeBron is picky! He still has not been able to adjust his game based on a roster. Well, he has for USA Basketball, but not the League!

Another thing of note is look at the three recent signings by the lakers outside of Cook.

Rhondo, Cousins and McGee. There wasn’t a large market for the three. The lakers need bodies.

Cook chose imo, the best place on a contender where he can see the court and make some money.

#1, it's Cleveland.
#2, he was all of 26 when he went to Miami.
#3, it's Cleveland.
#4, 2007-2008 was the year the Celtics won it all with Garnett, Pierce, and Allen. This generally marks the beginning of the phenomenon of superstars teaming up by their own choice. How quickly we forget.
#5, it's Cleveland.
#6, it's Dan Gilbert.
#7, have I mentioned that it's Cleveland?

I hear that Antonio Davidson is pretty good, too.

And had the raptors been able to pull off the trade and the salary cap for PG3, Leonard would have stayed in Toronto but they couldn’t.
I thought Garnett was traded to Boston and then Ray Allen signed as a free agent.
