Any idea who's looking at this guy. I don't see him with an offer from us or anyone else. Seems like a decent player? He's had some good plays tonight.

Awesome athletic ability. Mental capacity, not so much. If he had the grades to qualify, he would have offers from multiple SEC schools.

At least not yet. As many who know the game have said, he is a "system back" on a team that is so superior to the teams SP plays he looks better than he really is.

He looked superior to any running back South Panola had.

Talked to him multiple times stood eye to eye with him and I'm 5'10''. Grades of course he has SEC talent the kid is a beast. I believe he's 19 or close to it had to repeat when he was younger. If he could qualify we would take him along with TSUN. Hopefully he can get on the books he runs hard, hits the hole with a purpose, and doesn't shy from contact. Love him in our system ala Ballard. Vic would have had offers out of hike school if he had the grades. Some kids need JUCO to mature. Its as simple as that.

and he's only a sophomore.

It amazes me how damn good SP is at just lining up and running right over you, year in and year out. They have a remarkably dominant program.

Dude was ridiculous on defense and offense. He would make one hell of a safety after Whitley graduates. Maybe the next Derek Peques or better? I hope Mullen and staff keep their eye on him and i hope our new bulldog commits from SP will stay in his ear to about coming to State.

He had an INT tonight that was just unbelievable.

He actually strikes me as more of an outside runner than a between the tackles power back like South Panola is used to having. I wonder if he will possibly even play QB for South Panola a la Derek Pegues. But yes, he is definately a safety in college, and will be a good one.

As far as Griffen, I think he's taller than 5'8". I'd say 5'10"- 5'11" is more like it. He'll go to JUCO and he will get a chance to prove that he's more than a system RB.

Brassell and Market were awesome tonight as well.

was very unbelievable. I could see him moving to qb for South Pinola. It seemed they ran a lot more out of the wildcat tonight than out of typical proset power running style and really don't throw the ball much so a fast qb would be good if they continue the same type of play calling they had tonight. that deep ball to Brassell was really nice to see. Connor most impressed me and second was Market. Market has some really good quickness and was very slippery. That fits into our offense very well. It makes me very excited about the next few years.

One of the great runs of a team in MS high school history and their best athletes go to JUCO. At best they make it to a D-I and get kicked off in a year or two. doesn't happen every time, but more often its the case and that's just disappointing
