Last night I received a message for a fellow friend and poster. It was an obituary of our friend kwhs95fan. It stated that he passed Sept. 5th 2025. He and I were chatting on FB the week before about the start of the football season and what teams he thought would do what. We became friends from VirginiaPreps. We both would call, text or message one another any old time to talk sports or just life. Last we spoke, he was planning to move back to VA from PA. He will truly be missed on this board and in life.

Thank you for letting us know about Jason. I was friends with him on FB and in the group chat. He didn't post much on FB and I had no idea. He had a teenage daughter that played softball. Such a tragedy for him to pass away. He was only a few years younger than me. Prayers to his family. He will truly be missed.

Wow .....that one really hit home.

Honestly, I'm a little stunned right now.

I really appreciate you sharing that with us.

We REALLY are a family on here, in a way.

Gettin' together and discussing stuff that we love.

And yes sometimes we don't get along or agree, but that's a family for ya...

RIP my friend

Well Said. I met three guys from here that we have become friends for life. We converse off this board on a weekly basis, we sometimes meet up for lunch and we are there for one another all the time. They were there for me last year when I lost my father.

Speaks to the quality of contributors to the site and how football can be such a bond.

You said a ton Danny. Our love of high school football was only the avenue that led to true and lasting friendships.

Jason was one of those folks that came into our lives because of football. He and I talked over the years about the trials and tribulations that life throws at us, as well as football. I know we always felt a little better afterwards just knowing that we had talked and we cared about each other.

For everybody on these boards, never forget that you are having conversations with real human beings when you post. And remember that each of us face different challenges that life brings our way on a daily basis. Argue to hell freezes over about a missed call in a game, or who should have won, or why did the coach call that play, but after that, be a friend and decent person. Send prayers when needed, let someone know you care about them, and perhaps toughest for us guys, tell them that you love them.

Jason, you were loved, and your memory will be with us always.
