20-14 Radford. Auburn played a very physical game. It was a great game and Radford was able to make a couple big plays when needed especially Finley who was the difference maker in the game for Radford.20-12 rad
Was at the game, Coach Turner has Auburn playing physical, they have no play makers, give him a few speed guys and Auburn would be a tough team in the big picture.20-14 Radford. Auburn played well but missed out on several opportunities. Had there hands on three possible interceptions. Up 7-0 and driving on Radfords end of the field after recovering a fumble, failed to convert on 3rd and short. Could have been huge score before 1st half ended. May have been up two scores and receiving the second half kickoff. Instead Radford scored to tie game up before half. Then a huge play late, after Auburn tied the game at 14, the kickoff was a high, short kick that bounced off a Radford player and Auburn had a better than 50-50 shot at the recovery. Radford just has athletes that Auburn does not have and made the plays late, converting on 4th down twice I believe in the last scoring drive. Some people would even say that they are/were top ten material.

not sure what you were watching but 75 for Auburn did shove someone and the retaliation did draw the flag. Coach Turner is doing what gives Auburn the best chance to be successful. Not sure what speed guys you think Auburn has but I bet they don't have one skill player that would start ahead of anyone for Radford.Radford is also banged up. Heath Grant was on the field at about 50% IMO. Also had 4 lineman and the kicker in their street clothes. I still think Radford's defense did ok, just couldn't get the offense going. I believe this is due to grant playing and Saunders trying to get him going. And he's not ready to be back, very gimpy on that ankle and its causing him to have other mistakes i.e. dropping passes, and fumbling the snap when he's in wildcat. Radford had a much better look in Giles last week running spread offense on every down. This week they were back in their traditional triple option formation with Grant back. Radford held Nelson over a 100 yards less than he's weekly average, and also held him to only two +10 yard carries. He had 34 carries for 139 Yards He was getting stuffed at the line of scrimmage a lot in the second half. He was frustrated and threw a punch at Radford's Mike Vick who threw one back and Radford got the penalty on an Auburn scoring drive that should have ended pending the Flag. Giles will shut Auburn out and win by 42 points.
Geez....did you get your feelings hurt because it was so close? You arefull of excuses. Everyone expected Radford to win and they did. Nelson DID NOT throw a punch. Say what you will about his running style, but he is a beast. So don't disrespect the young man on reaching such a milestone. And Auburn has speed guys, he just don't know how to use them and keeps handing off to #40 every down. Jeremy Nelson has 5000 yards now, does anyone know what the attempts number is? I'm guessing 4,999! Its a very selfish thing Turner is doing out there. He has other guys that can run, and run damn good. Its his own fault he's not being creative with what he has.
Speed guys are you insane, what I saw is the other backs are slow and dance in the hole. I would have not run anyone but 40. Radford snaps the ball and let' s the QB make plays with his speed, is that selfish, no it is letting your best player make plays, put a back of # 6 speed on Auburn , I bet the carries would be more balanced, Coach Dixon at Galax will run Harris 50 times if that is what it takes, selfish, no let your horse carry the load. And Auburn has speed guys, he just don't know how to use them and keeps handing off to #40 every down. Auburn played most of the game w/ their 2 string QB. #4(the injured starter) finally came in in the 4th qtr and that allowed Auburn to do some option stuff. Everybody has banged up players this time of year. Radford is soft. If Auburn had enough time in their final drive to run the ball they would have won.Radford is also banged up.
