At this point, I wish they would bunt with the bases loaded. It can’t be no worse than what’s happening nowCats hate hitting with bases loaded apparently.

I worry this could be who we really are. Inferior power, sub par defense , top heavy pitching. SEC games will truly show our weaknesses.C'mon guys, this is ridiculous. Don't need to be dropping these games early in the year.
I agree with this. I just don't see how we don't get chewed up in SEC play. Hope I'm wrong!I worry this could be who we really are. Inferior power, sub par defense , top heavy pitching. SEC games will truly show our weaknesses.
Follow that up with another out on the bases to start the 6th. TerribleHow the He'll do u get a runner thrown out at home with only 1 out down 9-2? Is Minge really that stupid?? Good Lord!!
Came back from E-Day and what do I see but abysmal baseball. I didn't get to catch any of Bosma. Did he pitch that poorly? Getting one hit by Wright State is as bad as it gets.
I was wondering. He's not contributing on offense much at all.Surely we have someone else who at least deserves a chance at 3B at bats. Byars is 3 for 25 with 8 Ks and 0 walks.
Agreed. And more evidence that the program needs a coach change and a new direction. As I noted earlier, WKU has done that and is now off to a 6-0 start (sweep of Dayton, win vs. Belmont, and 2 wins vs. Ohio) for the first time since like 1985.I will give the Cats an A for effort for making a game of it after falling behind 10-2. The pitching had been pretty solid until today, but was an all system failure - all five pitchers gave up at least one run.
It is not often that you can say one baseball game is a "must win", but Cats just have to win this series. If UK happens to lose tomorrow, a 4-3 start against the likes of Elon, Wright State and Evansville would be a disaster, with what is coming up once we hit league play.
We’ve needed a coaching change for four years. Mingione just can’t do the things that need to be done at this level to win. Recruiting has been abysmal, especially from the high school ranks. Questionable coaching moves almost every game.Agreed. And more evidence that the program needs a coach change and a new direction. Agreed 100%. This is another case of good ol' Mitch not doing his due diligence with a coach. We’ve needed a coaching change for four years. You’re not kidding. The SEC is even better in baseball than football. We’ve got a long way to go to catch up. The bright spot we have is KY actually does produce more talent in baseball but it doesn’t matter if you can’t successfully recruit any of them.I will give the Cats an A for effort for making a game of it after falling behind 10-2. I dont think I want to disagree with you, but Im curious as to why you think SEC baseball is better than SEC football?
