At some point, do you wonder if that is just another symptom of the problem? If you had guys in there who really hated losing, you'd think they'd start turning. He incredibly appears, and stress on “appears” to not have lost the locker room.
After last season and what has happened so far this season, that is one thing that is amazing.
I was surprised the energy the team came out with today. Credit to CCC. If he can hold onto this team and add the three guys he signed, we could have an interesting 2021-22 season (when we can hopefully attend in person again!)He incredibly appears, and stress on “appears” to not have lost the locker room.

Yes, NU opened up a 14-2 lead and CC immediately substituted. Nance was being defended in a mismatch by "head band" -so Nance to the benchI was surprised the energy the team came out with today.

To stagger the rotation so that you’re not subbing out your entire starting 5 at the same timeI never have understood why coaches insist on subbing at the first TV timeout. Are guys already tired four minutes into the game?

Rule of thumb for Collins: if there is a player who is hot and in rhythm, take him out at the TV timeout. To stagger the rotation so that you’re not subbing out your entire starting 5 at the same time
So now it’s the players’ fault, but not for their play, but that they just accept losing? Collins just recruits kids like Kopp, Nance, Gaines (who have stayed amidst losing) who are losers? Not everyone is Type A on this team, but this argument is getting ridiculous. At some point, do you wonder if that is just another symptom of the problem? Head band guy is Rutger’s PG. For those of you who believe the PG issues are the root of all our problem I’d love to see us being led by head band guy.Yes, NU opened up a 14-2 lead and CC immediately substituted. Nance was being defended in a mismatch by "head band" -so Nance to the bench
All year Buie has been little more than an observer on defense. Given how weak his defense is, he is only in there for his offense, and that seems to have totally disappeared. I would give Gaines, Berry and Greer most of Buie's minutes. Buie needs to work his way into more court time by proving he deserves it. Something seems to be wrong with him; he just doesn't seem to be "into" the games this year.Kopp has been invisible and is not the same player he was last year. What the hell happened? Beran, Buie, and even Gaines (until tonight) are playing worse than last year too. It's not lack of effort, but seems mental. This is a soft team that wilts under pressure.
First off, NU opened up a 14-4 lead, not 14-2. Second, in a departure from every other game this season, Collins did not substitute at the first timeout, which came after 3:04 when Rutgers called one, or at the first media timeout at 4:05. He let the starters go for 7:04, which is easily the longest all season, and substituted when the score was 14-8. Lastly, Nance was not subbed out until he had played the opening 9:40. It's impressive that you managed to get literally everything wrong in your post.Yes, NU opened up a 14-2 lead and CC immediately substituted. No defense, turnover prone, loose ball handler, chucks up 3’s from all over the place despite a poor shooting percentage. Better team with Greer, Gaines or Berry in there. All year Buie has been little more than an observer on defense. Sorry, but Kopp stays in the starting 5 on merit. We are non-competitive with him on the bench. Here’s the NU basketball starting 5 meritocracy: Greer at point, Audige at 2, Gaines at 3, Nance at 4 and Young at 5. Sub for them when they’re tired. What could happen? A loss?

definitely play Kopp over Gaines. probably Beran as well.Sorry, but Kopp stays in the starting 5 on merit. We are non-competitive with him on the bench.
Overrated!Gaines plays strong D, doesn’t foul, can handle the ball, doesn’t turn the ball over, and lately has been hitting the open three.

Kool and the Gang on the floor?Did you not see Cappy's starts? The team is markedly better with Kool on the floor than without. He needs to play as many minutes as possible. Is not his stat line itself, is that opponents put their best defender on Loop when he is on the floor. This opens things up for the other 4. Having Kool not start would be cause for firing CC.
Looks of bad swiping going on there!Kool and the Gang on the floor?

I have been on some teams that really hated losing and desperately wanted to turn it around and did despite that pesky “ worse at the sport than our opponents” thing. Don’t underestimate the will to win angle. Nearly ever good team has at least one A**hole that drives the competitiveness of the entire team. It’s called overachieving. NU has a bunch of very nice guys.I’ve been on some teams that really hated losing and desperately wanted to turn it around but this pesky “worse at the sport than our opponents” thing kept popping up.
Spencer was that guy last year. Don't have that guy this year, although Audige comes close.I have been on some teams that really hated losing and desperately wanted to turn it around and did despite that pesky “ worse at the sport than our opponents” thing. Kind of hard to be a new guy on a team and fill that role. Yet Spencer, being older and all, did. Audige looks like he could be that type of guy. Had one year in practice, so not completely new. Maybe next year.Spencer was that guy last year. Don't have that guy this year, although Audige comes close.
Head band guy (Paul Mulcahy), as I understand it, was all set to commit to NU...but admissions said no.Head band guy is Rutger’s PG. For those of you who believe the PG issues are the root of all our problem I’d love to see us being led by head band guy.
I’m guessing we’d still be on an 11 game losing streak
