Recruits want their market value, and Pope/ UK/ donors, don’t / won’t/ can’t pay it, so they have ZERO HS commitments!

These latest locker room issues, and Pope’s “heart of his sleeve” demeanor can’t be helping assure these recruit’s parents/ agents that UK is the best fit for their sons either!

Fellow BBN fans, it’s going to get quite a bit worse before it gets better, and now we are seeing the main reason you never want to get behind on these matters!

The obsession with him on this board needs to be studied. He talked in vague terms and never gave actual inside information but yet some believed his story of coaching and being connected.
I tend to believe he was an online "character" invented by an anonymous poster.
He was an entertaining poster but I always took it with a grain of salt.
A guy from Minnesota who supposedly worked for another program sure knew a lot about UK basketball.

I don’t remember him ever saying anything that wasn’t legit. He was the real deal!
He was a skilled writer but never had a scoop on a UK recruit unless it was widely known.
All his info was available if you are a diligent follower of various online recruiting sites.
I can guarantee you an assistant at EKU or Morehead couldn't tell you anything about UK or UL recruiting.
They don't recruit in the same stratosphere.
Their job is to scout and sign players for their schools not worry about who UK and Duke are getting.
Ralph claimed he worked below the D1 level so that to me makes it less believable even if true.

Believable in what aspect? He didn’t provide any insider information. He just knew that most of this board didn’t follow recruiting closely so when he posted things like player a transfer from this school and now is playing for this coach, people here ate that up as crazy information. If you liked him as a poster I can get, but many seemed to think he was connected for no reason.

Wait, what? We supposedly spent more money on this roster that any other team but you say we won’t pay top dollar for recruits? That does not make sense and defies logic.

CoachX11, anyone?
Seriously, some posters were eat up with that dude and would get pissed if you questioned him.
It would be " people like you is why insiders don't post here" lol..
Coach X11 was an idiot.
Ralphdaltonfan was a basketball savant compared to that guy.

He was an interesting poster. I don’t really remember him making any huge recruiting predictions that came true when nobody else was calling it, but sometimes he’d say things that were rather oddly specific and could almost make me believe that he did have some kind of connection to the coaching/recruiting world even if his stated backstory didn’t quite add up. For example, I remember in one of the transfer threads, he talked at length about how Pop Isaacs was trouble much more than even his dismissed legal case would suggest and hoped we didn’t touch him with a 10 foot pole.

Always a good idea to take random people on the internet claiming to share inside info with a big helping of salt, but if he was purely a fictional character, he was a pretty well written one and not an obvious troll.

My point exactly. The “real deal”. All he did was speak about vaguely HS recruits and some of you decided that was enough for his opinions to be held to this standard. Pretty strange.
did he bang your girlfriend or what? youve commented in this thread three times already

I guess you guys forgot; when Skyy Clarke’s dad got on this board and argued with him. RDF wasn’t connected, but he had a friend that was. He actually is the one who called Fox to UK before anyone.

If Oweh finishes like he does in games, at least you won't have to worry if the kid is yours or not.
Well, I was smart enough to get a vasectomy about 15 years ago. And if Otega is after any chicks I'm with he needs better standards
