Not permitting women to teach is killing in the name of God? Allowing a people who rejected God to be besieged by a foreign power so that they end up eating their children is killing in the name of God? Two bears killing kids is killing in the name of God? God judging the wicking is killing in the name of God? This is the kind of nonsense comparison that deserves ridicule.

Luke 19:27:

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
How did one worship false gods? What were the practices? Luke 19:27 is part of a parable. Do you know what a parable is? What did Jesus mean when He said he came to send a sword?
I'm not going to debate you on theology. One, I'm not a scholar on the subject. Two, you won't or can't convince me that the Holy Bible is 100% "clean" of violence and murder. Religion can be corrupted by who teaches/preaches it. It can be, and has been, used as a weapon to rally people behind a cause that they feel is "just" because their Holy Book proclaims it to be.
Good choice. I'm not saying violence is not in the Bible. I'm saying bad exegesis is rampant on this board.
That explains the thousands of Christian terrorists killing in the name of God, and supported by other Christians.
