Left without a commitment, a Pope staple in recruiting
Thought he would commit. We need him to commit.
It's a staple for most teams now. There are agents involved.
If I were UK I wouldn’t put out a public commitment just yet on either player for yesterday. We still need a guard or two and Freeman. There doesn’t need to be any kind of announcement to possibly limit visits or other commitments: just my opinion.
just looking for attention another staple in midseason tweak's post. Every post putting down Pope. Went in two, three threads saying we are supposed to whiff on Stokes because a guy said so from work.

It's kinda like being a car salesman. If the customer leaves the lot without buying the car, chances are he's going somewhere else.
Agents are trying to get counter-offers. That is the norm...
When Providence and UofL sign quickly and Pope struggles to sign, to me that is concerning.
Brooks on the women's side is having NO Issue, even with JMI. And Stein as well.
I used to think it as 50/50 on Pope/JMI.

I know after they finally get the roster built, Pope and his staff need to get together collectively and figure out what’s going wrong and making it so difficult for them with recruiting. If he wants to make it here, whatever the issues are they need to be addressed.
This is just really getting piss poor now. I have no clue who is doing the talking but for the love of god close your mouth just smile and nod.

Fans still in denial trying to find any excuse possible to relieve Pope of horrendous recruiting and management. None of the big name coaches would allow a player like Stokes to manipulate and control Kentuckys decisions and actions concerning recruiting.
Pelphry,Woods,and Ford all three played for ky but failed at coaching. Just because you played basketball for Rick Pitino doesn't guarantee success as a coach. Fans want to believe players will always be successful at coaching but Pope proves otherwise.

I remember leaving the lot and as I was about to turn in my driveway the salesman called and said I talked to my manager and we can make it work. I drove back and bought it. You are better walking out the first time.
No need for that meeting. Another staff will fill the void
Some players are waiting on decisions of other players. Some want to start, compared to other things. I hope stokes decides so we can move forward.

Offer multiple players at the same position simultaneously. Create some competition and leverage rather bowing to agents.

It seems like the staff held off on tier 2 guys too long waiting on tier 1 guys that were never going to come here and just wanted to up their portal value.
Then they tried to get in on tier 2 guys too late and tried to juggle the tier 2 guys and the tier 3 guys and fumbled.
Other schools are better at targeting players and not having to cast a huge (unsuccessful) net.
I try to be as positive as I can but I've never been a fan of Mark Fox. He is a worse version of David Hobbs imo.
Huh? What are you basing this on? Looks like we are still firmly in good position on all of our primary targets to me. Whaddo I know? I’m just an idiot.
