Some are saying it has something to do with that improper recruiting and academic scandal, others disagree. Some were saying he was getting a professional managerial position in probably the minors, others disagree. Only thing I know is it is very weird because the media reporting it has spoken to his longtime friends -Vandy's Tim Corbin and Oregon State's Pat Casey- and both were very shocked and had no clue about this. It's really weird that he would leave this late, 3 and 1/2 months til baseball season. And I didn't realize he had been there since '94.

that Pat Murphy will be managing a AAA team next year. He may be managing a rookie ball team, like Pat McMahon did with the Yankees.

This is pretty odd, to say the least. Something must have happened, but the question is what. Pat Murphy is known to be a turd, so I don't know if he pissed off the wrong person, or persons, or if it had to do with the academic scandal or what.

I think he will end up coaching college baseball in 2011. I could see Tennessee as a perfect for him- I think they might get rid of Todd Raleigh for not knowing what the hell he is doing despite having talent. Plus, he should fit in well with the other ******* coaches that they have like Pearl and Kiffen. Why not go for the trifecta?
