Random: Ground brisket, whiskey and internet

1. The other day I was in Remington Lott Farms store to get the normal ribeye, ground burger and liver. I noticed they had ground brisket which sounded delicious. Anyone have a recommendation for cooking ground brisket other than making a patty?

2. A co-worker recommended Benchmark bourbon. It is the cheapest bourbon that I can drink on the rocks. $9.50 a fifth or $20 a half gallon. Need or want some cheap whiskey give it a try.

3. Cspire fiber installed today. Bought the netgear orbi mesh router. OMG what a difference.

4. Cooked the liver tonight and it was so freaking good. I'm winning tonight

The liver I had tonight was so good.

1. soaked the liver for 24 hours in half and half (because I didn't have any milk)
2. fried some bacon
3. saute mushrooms and onions in the bacon grease
4. cooked the liver in bacon grease

my liver is steeped in bourbon and vodka.

Benchmark is my go to for deer camp bourbon. It’s just Buffalo Trace but younger. They are supposed to be releasing a full proof, bonded, and “top rack” version of Benchmark this year. I look for them to raise the price on BT and move Benchmark into its place when it first became popular. $25/fifth
