Want to know some peoples thoughts on this. Does anything believe that signing big recruits can get recruiting momentum going for one side? What I mean by that, is where you have a team that maybe wins a big battle for a recruit like Thompson, and that kind of triggers a few more on the fence to commit to that same school. I almost think that maybe Sanders and Robinson would possibly fall in that category. We haven't had a commit in over a week, and that was Muniz, and it didn't seem like it made that big of a splash, especially since it was an OL that we really needed. But Ole Miss comes in, gets Thompson, makes a pretty big splash, and I'm afraid that may get the ball rolling their way a little. Anyone else believe there may be a little of that involved, especially between in state schools?

could certainly happen, but I think it would be more apt to happen earlier in the recruiting season when most players are uncommitted. Once you get to the last week, the few that are left uncommitted are usually truly torn between a couple of schools.

Muniz did not make the splash that Thompson did because he was an out of state recruit that just came on the radar recently. Plus he was not choosing between State and OM. The buildup with writeups from both schools on Thompson led to the drama at the end.

Sanders, I imagine will choose between State and OM, so your scenario would relate to his choice, but I don't think Thompsons decision will affect him one way or the other. Robinson looks like he is not including OM, so it shouldn't have any bearing on his decision.
