you wont hear any disagreement from me right now. he has shot it poorly in enough games in a row for me to want him to just stop as well.

...but even thru all of his horrible shooting, im still unconvinced Turner is better. Lets not even bring Benock into the discussion, since thats so removed from reality, its laughable.

i shutter to think that Turner will play significant minutes at the SG spot.

hopefully Shaun Smith will be all around talented and able to eventually shore up the horrible play we have at the 2 spot.

In the post game, Stansbury said basically the same thing I was thinking..............we play like a bunch of girls. Pansy *** basketball. Bost looked like a shorter weaker version of Jamont last night. Only 10 times worse. Throwing up stupid shots. Turning it over. I wouldn't mind seeing Barry moved to point and being told not to shoot it unless he is wide open and then having Bost sit for a while. Turner sucks worse than any of them. He honest to goodness has no left hand. Amazing to see a crossover dribble with one hand.
I have never been that disappointed in a Stansbury coached team. No hustle. No effort. Stupid. If they don't do better than that then the even the NIT is a pipe dream.

Stans' "toughness" garbage.

Taking bad shots, not being able to get into an offense and turning it over is not about toughness.

Stansbury was talking about not blocking out, getting bumped hard and not retaliating, and not responding when another team goes on a run. That is not "garbage" my friend. That is what has made Stansbury a winner at MSU. All of our good teams have been physical and tough even if they were not great shooters. See Zimmerman, Gordon, Austin, etc.

we are really missing a guy that we all had thought would be here that shall remain nameless (currently on the TN roster) that would have given us instant offense at the 2 spot given Barry has turned into a brick layer. Stans rarely coaches 'up' anyone offensively, so we truly needed a pure offensive player coming in with this past recruiting class and didn't get it.

Osby is as pure an offensive player as we have had as a freshman. He just can't play defense yet. We are not missing Hopson because he was never even here. What we are mssing is Jamont's leadership and toughness. Jamont had flaws in his game for sure but we are missing him more than we would a guy like Hopson.

we need offense from the "shooting" guard position. Its called that because you need someone filling it that can shoot. Osby doesn't help us there. We knew Jamont was history after last year and needed someone to come in with some instant offense at the 2. Jamont scored much more than a normal point guard last year anyway. Hansbrough (our most consistent outside shooter last year) leaving just made the need that much greater. Thanks goodness Ravern's offense has come on this year at the 3 or we would REALLY be in a world of hurt.
