They will be 6A too, but I'm not confident Montini will get out of round 1, if they make the playoffs at all.
Not a good year for Naz to see MCHS. Would have been good the last 2 years though. I don't want to be 5-4 and face PR round 1.

If you keep exercising some restraint, other members of the Insane Naz Posse will ask you to turn in your card.

Deano - what's your source? If this is true, #14 must be one of the top TE's in the country.
On lunch today I sat and watched all the film I could find on Marwede. He an Kmet are both elite. They are both great athletes for their size, but Marwede catches the ball better (uses his hands exceptionally and softly). Kmet however has more film blocking, and shows a bit more explosion and quickness.

Both are promising, but I'll take a kid from Loyola personally.

Interested to know which 2 teams beat Loyola this coming season. I'm not saying there's not potentially 2 losses on their schedule. I could see MC, MS, Provi and Rice beating Loyola.

I think Provi takes them down. I think this is the year of Provi #TheReturn. I see them losing to MC.

Last years Loyola team might be one of the greatest teams in Illinois high school football history. It's literally impossible for them to repeat what they did last year, I'm not saying anyone is saying that they're going to repeat what the did last year but don't be surprised if they aren't perfect. Even with 2 losses in the regular season they are still a state title contender. I think the CCL is going to slap each other around this year, more so than ever.

MCHS #1??
They lost most of their defense, and the have a untested junior at QB should be good but I think maybe 10

Do they still open up with Maine South and ESL again this year? I may have jumped the gun on them being #1, my bad. Do they still play St. Rita after that too? Damn, I'm going to edit my top 5. Sorry.

Edited it....Nobody is beating GBW (not GW) in the WSS. They won't win a state title this year, but they'll go 9-0 in the regular season and that will put them at #1. IMO.

Joliet Catholic will have a tough time being in the top 5 in the conference let alone the Chicago area.

Will Naz enrollment put them in 6A? The SF should not move them up. They did not win consecutive titles in the same class, therefore don't get moved up.

All.... Enrollments for this season has to be established and turned into the IHSA no later then September 30th of last year. So it's out there. Ratsy

PC will be tough for LA but that's at LA. week 9 at Rice should be wild. LA gets MC early week 3. Gonna take MC a while to get things going.

I'm normally not a Catholic League enthusiast but this year is going to be a dog fight, week in and week out. St. Rita will be better, Provi will be better, Loyola won't be the 85 Bears, Mt. Carmel should be good, Rice will be good. Is it me or is it completely up for grabs this year? I'm not a Catholic League guy so you guys tell me. I'm only talking about the Blue.

Marwede is the most dangerous threat in the backfield since Sammy Baugh.

That's awesome. I just watched that entire video. I'm fascinated by old time football.

You can toggle the speed up to 1.5 which should be close to actual.
Also, I believe Lions qb was Frank Sinkwich, former Heisman winner out of UGa. He should have shot his receivers after dropping so many passes.
Notice Baugh is playing both ways, punting too. Guy was legit.
