Four possible outcomes vs LSU. LSU blowout, MSU blowout, LSU close win, MSU close win. Rank them based on highest probability. A blowout win is defined as more than 2 TD and a close win as less than 2 TD.

1. LSU close win - 50%
2. LSU blowout - 40%
3. MSU close win - 10%
4. MSU blowout - 0%

So difficult to get a read on this with a completely new staff and offensive and defensive philosophy. Also no spring to assess. LSU very talented by lost so many weapons and their offensive mastermind.

Yes. I believe if the game and situation (week 1 during a pandemic) were replayed 100 times, Mississippi State would win 5 of them in blowout fashion. Some of you may have corndog fetishes.

The reasons: Our offensive people do not fit Leach's style yet and we didn't have a spring to install it properly. We lost a LOT from a defense that wasn't that great.

It's just hard to say because so much depends on our secondary's performance, and we don't really know what they're going to be like. I think LSU is going to look rough on offense, but they might pick up points in bunches off big plays while not being able to sustain a drive for ****. I'm thinking:

1. LSU close win - 47
2. LSU blowout - 35
3. MSU win - 15
4. MSU blowout - 3%

O ye of little faith

1. LSU close win - 40%
2. LSU blowout - 20%
3. MSU close win - 35%
4. MSU blowout - 5%

Odd things do happen in college football the first week. If our defense confuses their offense good things could happen.

We've won 2 since 2000. 2 of our losses have been by less than 10 points (2015 and 2016). That puts historical odds (since 2000) at:

LSU close win: 10%

LSU blowout: 80%

MSU close win: 5%

MSU blowout: 5%

If winning by 12-18 points is a considered a blowout, then MSU wins 100%. Praise the Lort and Hail State!

Depends on your definition of close. I’ll assume close includes anything within 10 points. I think LSU wins by 10-14 points.

LSU blowout win- 45%
LSU close win- 35%
MSU close win- 17%
MSU blowout win- 3%
