I don't really want to rank careers, just want to rank them for their ability on a college football team.

Roy

For college…
1- Roy
2- Ameer
3- Rex
4- EJ

Roy had some next level games, including the record for most yards in a game by a Husker RB
Who knows how many yards he would have had if he didn’t split time
Conversely, same could be said for Rex, had Roy and/or Ameer not been there he would have had even more yards

This list looks like a competition for the #4 spot on Nebraska’s all-time list. Great backs, everyone of them.

After the Ohio State comeback (2011?) Rex is my favorite. If I had to play a national championship game I might go Ameer first and Rex second…. I could be convinced to swap those around.

4. Helu

Going strictly off of college performance. Never thought I'd rank EJ that high before this season, but after an all-american year, he deserves the praise and then some.

ameer, seems like someone dr. tom would have recruited
ej, it's hard to judge, tough, and seemed to excel in spite of diva qb
you could switch the 2 above
rex, seemed like a fb
roy, seemed like a fb
you could switch the 2 above

4 totally different guys. Pure RB? Roy. Most versatile RB probably Rex. Tough to tackle get you a yard when you had to have it? Probably Ameer. Ameer had trouble hanging on to the ball at times. Best guy we’ve had in a long time? EJ. It’s going to be interesting to see if EJ can make it in the NFL.

Helu

I love Helu don't get me wrong, if only EJ had his straight line speed. But I value EJ's vision and elusiveness a bit more than Roys ability to just find a hole and hit it (Though that would be nice to have as well these days...)

Roy was the only true home run threat, the other three didn't have a final gear. Ameer had great agility and acceleration.

1. Roy
2. Ameer
3. EJ

And Roy was a 3 star with a 40 time listed at 4.8 by Rivals when he committed. Obviously somebody on Callahan’s staff knew better than the Rivals douche bags.

Bill could flat out recruit. They should have left him alone and nudged him into getting a different DC.
He had some issues identifying the right QBs. Hit a home run with Helu. Helu is exactly one of the reasons I don’t get bent out of shape about recruiting service ranking of a RB.
