Maine = worst loss in MState history Tulane = home loss in year 3 to bad team La Tech = unprepared in year 5 after turnaround season Houston = 200+ rusher should equal a win Auburn = it's difficult to mark this game as a bad loss considering all the other blow out losses to SEC teams

1. Tulane 06 - we were finally good enough to beat some teams and still laid an egg
2. LA Tech 08 - completely inexcusable
3. Houston 05 - Norwood ran for 254 yards...Houston was a bowl team for what it's worth, but we still should've won

Dishonorable mention:
Maine 04 - we were so bad and still outplayed them, it was honestly just bad luck. I won't fault Croom as much as the above 3.
Auburn 08 - you MUST seize opportunities like this
UAB 04 - Beat CUSA teams at home, period.
South Carolina 06 - looked absolutely awful when we were supposed to finally break out, set the mood for the season

And you are chalking it up to bad luck? A team that even in a bad year for us their best year ever we should beat by 40?

Maine #1 -----there is absolutely no comparison between LaTech at LaTech and 17in Maine at home. Not even close.

And the LSU game last year: I'm not sure I would put it on the list. But, it sure as hell the game that lets me at least contemplate the possibility that last year was fluke.

2003 was our lowest point in MSU history as a team, and then for 2004 we removed a lot of the best players. Of course there is no excuse to lose to Maine, but that year, I'm not sure there was a huge difference in talent, and combined with a lot of bad luck, we lost it. Remember the redzone fumbles, including the touchdown that was actually a fumble inside the 1 through the corner of the endzone for a touchback? Can't really fault Croom on that one.

Of course you can (and should) fault Croom for dropping the game, I just think that the Tulane 06 loss was much worse. Plus, Croom was still learning how to be a head coach in his third game, but by his third year shouldn't've lost to Tulane.

Croom was still learning how to be a head coach? As of today, he still hasn't learned **** about being a head coach.

1. Maine - By far the worst-ever loss.
2. Auburn - Ranked this high because it's Crxxm's most creative loss. 3-2: Genius.
3. Houston - Norwood sets a single game rushing record and we lose.
4. Tulane - Not ranked higher because this was a loss I kind of expected.
5. Louisiana Tech - At least this loss was on the road.
