does anyone know when the official vhsl rankings start to come out

I want to say it's around week 6 or 7

After Week 5. Could be a week from tomorrow, if all of the necessary information has been gathered and confirmed.

On a normal year, the process of gathering every last piece of information needed to calculate out the rankings is difficult. Most forget that every “out of state” team that has a game with a Virginia team affects the rankings. Unlike Virginia, these out of state teams have no obligation to report wins and losses to the VHSL. Much effort is put into tracking down the outcome of every game, by every out of state opponent of every Virginia school.

Can you imagine how much more complicated and time consuming it gets with all of the postponements, cancelations, and rescheduling this year. WOW!

Only the games that have been rescheduled for Mondays will effect the rankings. Due to how late they are being played. Out of state games should not be that hard to find out due to news and social media. They usually put them out on Tuesday. It could get pushed back a couple days with a few games being played on Monday and Tuesday
