I don't know how many of yall watched it on M2M but obviously we didn't show up.

Other than the zone offense or any of our "offenses", which are always atrocious, a huge liability on the defensive end was SWAT. We scored 74 points. Even though we struggled offensively, that should have been enough to win against this team. Before you yell at me, let me explain. He was guarding Ringgold all night and he got absolutely dominated on the offensive end allowing him to score 21 poins. SWAT still has no idea how to use his twig to play on the ball defense. Their gameplan was to go RIGHT at SWAT and they killed us with it. SWAT is never going to be able to guard a big man on the ball. He just can't do it.
When we had our chance at the run in the second half, they went right at SWAT on four straight positions and scored every time.
The solution? Put Augustus on the other team's 5 and let SWAT be the rover. I don't understand why we continued to let them kill us.

SWAT also allowed a TON of points by not positioning himself while playing help defense. Let me be clear, he also gets some highlight blocks as well. But I counted 3 or 4 times where he was in easy position to stop the drive and force a tough shot and/or pass. Instead he baited the other player for a block...and gave up a layup and/or an open pass for a three. I think it's a stupid way to play the game and it hurt us tonight.

itty job of getting off screens as well in addition to just being plain slow and lazy in covering the perimeter. But...a little bit of that had to do with the fact they were trying to give SWAT some help down low. He got clobbered tonight on the defensive end.

I know SWAT is our best player and I know he filled up the stat line tonight. But it's obvious Rider studied his weaknesses and took it to him tonight. That's why they scored 88. They scored 88? Damn.

Or has SWAT's ability and desire to block shots hurt our overall defense in games like this and, of course, Washington? They had the same gameplan as Rider.

There were numerous instances tonight where he went for the block, got out of position, and allowed Rider to score easy points. Couple that with terrible perimeter defense and we got lit up like a christmas tree.

Completely inexcusable loss. It's not so much that we lost this game, but we got manhandled in the process.
