Studied the radio for an hour so I can talk music now.

It's pretty much all electro R&B trash now.

Fetty wap still heavy gwop. DJ Mustard, him, and kid ink have a very catchy single blazing the airwaves.

The fierce female is really ruling **** right now. That lil fireplug blonde foreign girl with boisterous pipes is killing it. The one that walks on walls in that video...that's the movement. I dig her, but she's spawned some others. Anyway, that sound is killing it. That FEEL MY EMOTIONS!!!!!' stuff.

- same thing Rihanna and Beyonce are currently doing, but without the convincing energy.
- wtf is Beyonce doing. She's a ..,was...goddess. She's in a very bad musical place. Not sure what that's about. Guess keeping up with trends, but she's a trend setter.

Drake is long gone. I dont even recognize the sound. He's topping charts now in Dubai or something. God awful sounds that I can't describe, but he's officially off the "rap " train he was never on.

Kevin Gates. Lol. What an industry creation. Pure awful. He's still heavy in rotation, tho.

Dolph is filling the street lane. That migos **** has died down a lot. Dolph is almost just as awful, but he's getting tons of play. Memphis, at least.

*rolleyes*

Was gonna post last night, almost at the same time, about that new Pusha T/Jay-Z track. It's pretty nice. I think most here like Clipse from their old days (especially if you like production)..

Some of Jay's lyrics are whack on it, but then some are real good..

Life made me ambidextrous
Counting with my right
Whipping white with my left wrist

Maybe nothing ground breaking, but has a great Jay flow to it. But then..

Daaaaamnnn Daniel

Quotes a recent, and lame, internet saying.. with not much around after it.

Ba da bap bap baaaaaaaa

Per Steve Stoute, Pusha T wrote that. [laughing]

Our first big thing was launching ‘I’m Lovin It’ for McDonalds, that was in 2004,” Stoute said, speaking of his marketing company Translation. Ebro then shared what was the popular opinion, that Pharrell and Justin Timberlake had crafted the tune, but Stoute quickly corrected him. “You know who did that? Pusha T. That’s crazy that Pusha T wrote the song for McDonalds,” he said. “I can’t remember the money [received]. It was 11 years ago. Nobody was upset.”

No, most of us are educated normal people in real life, that just love good beats and fun songs that take us back to our younger years.

3 quick thoughts:

-That Spitta/Juve/Fraud song is pretty cool.

-Schoolboy Q's first 2 songs off his assumedly upcoming album are not very good to listen to. Bad, really.

-4pm in Calabasas :fire::fire::fire: lol @ Diddy.

I hope he's just on the hook. A good lil future hook can really kick things up a notch.

Lol drake starts to fade away so he's gotta diss diddy now? That boy is high maintenance.

Fade away from what? Breaking a new sales or Billboard record every week? You sound pathetic, quit trying so hard.

The rap scene. His name hardly rings out like it once did. He's transcended to an international pop sensation like pitbull or some ****. The ghostwriting stuff didn't hurt him, per sales, etc, but he def lost some juice bc of that. And now his writers are dissing diddy. Lmao. That just screams thirst.

Lollllllll DJ Khaled acting silly on his track doesn't help your argument. Plus, that beat is wack as hell.

Drake hardly rings out on the rap scene. LOL.

It's clear you pretend to really hate him, and that's fine -- but your statements are falser than false.

#Views is great, btw. My final review is :fire::100points: 40 is the man.

wtf is Canada anyway lmao

It's sad that a west coast trained, cash money boy like yourself has been tricked into that corny equality rap.

UKG has so many good songs it's nearly impossible to narrow down my favorite 2 or 3..

...but one released on a throwaway No Limit album (Mean Green Presents) makes my Top 5, for sure. Under rated Gem. Love when Sweet Jones uses those guitars man :fire::fire:

If you do not have Ridin' Dirty in your top 5 rap CDs ever then you don't understand rap.

I guess I could leave a small chance for a case without, but man that would have to be sold to me.

It's pop but I'm sorry, this beat is nice.

I really hope Game finds it in himself to release a magnum opus record ala Illmatic or Reasonable Doubt before he goes away. I think he has it in him and it just hasn't come to fruition yet.

I like this new one.

Game obvi dope. I don't feel like rappers get better with age. I don't expect him to outdo the documentary. That's classic to me. He gets goods beats. I love him. I didn't really keep up with him, but that Jesus album was pretty nuts.

There's so much media influence in hip hop. I don't even remember when or how, but Game was written off as whack for some reason and he's never been viewed the same since. Was it the Dre stuff? Idk, I jkst know it became really popular to make fun of the game when real clowns like Tyga and **** were popping.

He can really rap however you want it, and to me that's the #1 criteria when judging a rapper.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I mean Documentary and Jesus Piece are great records. Also agree with aging.

I just think he could do something more transcendent than those records and hope someday he does.

Was never really fond of 50. Him dancing all over The Documentary like Puffy kinda **** on it a little bit for me.

Game tries too hard sometimes, that's his biggest issue imo -- that, and a terrible ear for beats in general.

He hyped this last album up as 'THE ONE', and it was 2 discs of garbage, mostly.

Documentary was ridiculous, and he'll never get close to that again.

-Mash posting Nipsey/west coast sounding songs now? Lol. Good job.

Then he must suck as a rapper, which is it?

His albums are poop, which of the 50 songs on his last one did you listen to more than twice? Oh, none -- exactly.

Ali Bomaye was :fire:, last song of his that I truly loved. He's wack in 2016.

Man I loved 50. The rap game needed 50. His impact was better than game, but he is not better rapper. Not close, imo. Like BBdK said, game does try tko hard. 50 was more focused, more specialized gangsta rap, and no features. He stood on his own and gave you the only thing he had - guns and coke. 50 was the man. Get Rich or Die Tryin was gutter af.

Then he tried to give you different things, and fell the F off...

Not that much different than Jay Z. Got rich, yacht living, had nothing to really rap about.

At least Jay Z can still make good stuff now and then -- Fif is flat embarassing much of the time these days.

....although I liked "I'm the Man" :flushed:

This beat was SO hard, that bassline :fire:

You should pay me as much as I school you to the rap game.

You've answered you're own question. Game does try too hard. I feel like he tries to make every.damn.song a single. He's hyperactive af. That Jesus album was cool because he flowed evey which way, but as a cohesive piece of artwork, it kind of fell flat. It was good, but not special. It wasn't focused. Sporadic. Or didn't take your ears and transport you to a scene. Like when Kendrick does he thing, you see those sounds. He's telling a story. Same with all the great albums. You see that **** as much as you hear it.

So Fif ain't embarrassing?

Give him a gutter beat, and tell him to rap about beating your baby mama. See what he does.

smh. You know this.

It's a business. I wish him an Dre would get in the studio and pretend they're younger. Kanye. Jay. If all the greats would just repeat what they did, it would be pretty sweet.

That's a perfect beat. Who did that?

Freddie touched that sample first, tho.

But, really, the biggest key to Fifth was his biography. He told his story, did his movie, and hustled his *** to great heights in a very short time. That's really all he had to say, and he wasn't like a real lyricist, but what he had to say, and how he said it, was better than what anybody else had to say.

You could compare that with eminem, too, but em was a true lyricist/battle rap guy. If he wasn't taking real grimy personal ****, he didn't really do much. He's not really a creator/artist...see his beats *barf*. He's just an insanely talented lyricist with an incredible story that captured a very large audience.

Contrast that with Kanye - mf'er creates new genres on **** and might run for president.
