What does BARS mean, talking about crack & rims? I always thought it meant clever rhymes that actually said/talked about something.

Freddie Gibbs -- Sellin' Dope Lyrics
[Produced by Mike Dean]

[Pre-Hook]
Wrappin' up the package, drug traffic, I say Wrappin' up the package, drug traffic, nigga
Wrappin' up the package, drug traffic, nigga
Wrappin' up the package, drug traffic, nigga

[Bridge]
Wrappin' up the package, drug traffic
She say she need that oowee so I told that ***** I got it, nigga
Wrappin' up the package, drug traffic
She say she need that oowee so I told that ***** I got it, nigga
I sell dope, I smoke dope
I sell dope, I smoke dope
I sell dope, I smoke dope
I sell dope, I smoke dope

[Hook] I'm on the corner, my mama know I'm sellin' dope
I serve my neighbor, my mama know I'm sellin' dope
I'm gettin' this paper, my mama know I'm sellin' dope
Just cook this cake up, my mama know I'm sellin' dope
I'm on the corner, my mama know I'm sellin' dope
I serve my neighbor, my mama know I'm sellin' dope
I'm gettin' this paper, my mama know I'm sellin' dope
Just cook this cake up, my mama know I'm sellin' dope

BARS :fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire: DUDE IS SOOOO GANGSTA!!!!!

You're terrible at Rap -- Kendrick is a little too serious these days, but he can Rap with anyone. Child Please.

Even TPAP had numerous Bangers on there. Kid grew up in Compton, but keep pretending like he had some privileged life, lol.

Most people listen to Rap for entertainment, good beats, and good rhymes -- not to be impressed by Drug Dealing and "street cred". You're a weird little white dude.

lol you comparing Fred to K.dot? Get real.

Most people listen to Rap for entertainment, good beats, and good rhymes --

What I'm saying, cuhz! I do not want to go on a paranormal journey narrated by some politically motivated hipster thug poet. Sorry. I like beats and bars. You must have beats, bars are negotiable.

Based on all the other rappers you hate, obviously you don't.

Plus, your ear for beats/songs is among the worst in memory. Truly horrible. I click all of your links, you bat around .260, which isn't very good considering you're posting "favorites"

You'd make a good manager for Slaughterhouse, seamless transition.

And that sellin dope beat = bananas. You could whistle on that mfer and it would be amazing. You continue to not understand the relationship of beats to hip hop.

Just come see me in 8 days. I'll be your shoulder to cry on when Kendrick, once again, fails to bring back your precious West Coast. It's kind of sad. Him and Q had it popping for one year, then poof...gone. Kendrick joined the DNC and Q retired.

Kendrick will be playing the guitar in < 3 years.

WHY THE BLUEPRINT 2 not on Spotify? Tell me that ****, bbdk. Huh.

Kendrick raps about what is important to him man I don't really know what else you're looking for. If you listed to the song he released and didn't like it then I don't know if we can be e friends anymore

I'm looking for Jay Z. That's all I'm listening to today.

If y'all want to compare K.Dot the goat of the millenial new age e-world to Jay the GOAT of mfn Brooklyn, we can do that. LMAO.

How many tracks did jay have by age 30, for example? Idk...is k.dot 30? Jay didn't turn industry whack till 40, I know...40+.

One of the all time rap WTF moments was Nas owning Jay-Z and Jay came out of that twice as clean.

Many people have Ether as the top beef song out there even over Tupac's Hit em up.

Hard to really argue against Jay period because of the body of work so comparing him to anyone is a bit off, no?

He's having fun in a song (and bonkers video/visual, obviously the main reason for the song) and you're STILL mad [laughing]

He owns you, get over it. He's so good that he reached the masses and you think you're too street for that. We get it, dude.

He's the best actual rapper on the planet in 2017.

I just don't have much for Mike Will these days -- but I guess the beat fits the song. You definitely haven't learned much about songs, that's for damned sure.

Yes, Sometimes a video makes a song -- anyone older than 30 should understand this. Lost art, really. Kinda sad.

Surprised you aren't more into the battle rap scene, tbh. BARS ON BARS ON BARS!

Yes. Just like your favs Jay Z, Freddie Gibbs, Juicy J, 50, Pusha T, Gucci, Project Pat, and many others.

You said you loved the beat -- change your mind now that you know who produced it? (Just like you did in reverse with the last song & Alchemist)

[laughing] You're like a little teenager. Like what you like, it's ok.

Smh. Ur idiot. Love the beat...but k.dot matched the song, which was probably picked out by his label bc it appeals to big Sean/Drake fans.

I love this one big Sean hopped on...before k.dot it seems. Only kind of good big Sean song I've heard, still raps like he's reading tho. If k.dot so much better than big Sean/every rapper that raps like big Sean why is Kendrick following in his footsteps - same gangsta mike will beat, same children's book flow.

It's a bad look. Plus, tbh, someone of k.dot caliber/potential probably shouldn't be on a mike will beat. No disrespect to Gucci, etc.

Why? He raps in all sorts of styles for all sorts of moods. He needs to do more songs that aren't politically charged or hyper-technical. You've said the same -- and now you're mad that he did. Yeah, he's biting Big Sean style [eyeroll] You sound really desperate when you say dumb things, it's a very bad look.

Kendrick is awesome, stop being stupid.

^ Pat ripped that sample first, btw.

Great song, tho. Still on his big Sean/Drake hip hop for children flow. I just don't understand that at all.

That song sounds nothing like either of those guys, not sure what you want him to do? Spit rapid fire Backseat Freestyle type rhymes all the time? That doesn't make for good music.

You're weird.

If you don't like the first two songs released from this album then stop discussing rap in a public space.

Canei Finch is kinda dope on the samples, btw. Wish Kanye would go back to this style. The above Kdot song, and this one from J Cole, the only song of his that I truly love. :fire:

Woooweeee Kenny Lofton was dope af, I'm glad they made a song for him. Smooth ****.

TB, I'm just trying to make k.dot better. I expect more from him. Maybe he should have done that joint album with J Cole...

J Cole ain't rapping like nobody else on that song. That's his voice. I like that. Not rapping like he's reading, just spitting that **** how he feels.

J Cole can rap, I just don't like his music. He's just boring or something. I guess Sean can too, but I never could figure out exactly "what" it was about him that made me not like him -- I think you figured it out, he DOES sound like he's reading.

That said, he's usually good for 1, sometimes 2, cool songs per album...mainly based on a good beat. Definitely not a fan.

-Why haven't you been slobbering on 'The Wild', btw? That baseline on Marvin is :fire::fire::fire:

Sean cannot. He can maybe write, but but he can't rap. SAY IT WITH YO CHEST.

He probably writes a lot of drakes ****.

So, you're wasting all this time analyzing every verse from wack rappers like Kendrick, when one of your Top 5 released a full album 2 weeks ago? Makes sense.

Weirdo.

It's just sounds. Em fell off when he got weird and changed his voice. Idk why. Have no clue. But it's very popular to rap that way now - just different. Idk why. Maybe it just matches the tempo of today's beats better, the way rhymes aren't structured. Idk. It drives me insane and all songs have that same cadence, tempo, whatever the **** it is...same damn sound.

MynameisbigSean and
*****...I...rap...like... this
Itakeyogirl igivehermydick
And..now..she...walk ...like...this

It's fn Dr Seuss storybook raps. And ya boi Kendrick is doing that same ****. It's on wax for everybody to hear. Embarrassing.

Ya but I ain't listening to Kendrick and big Sean. Been on Harlem today, Brooklyn yesterday....

Raekwon alright. 11 track light work.

But man you listen to good rappers and they're just talking to you, flowing like water, telling stories. It's too easy for Raekwon.

Lots of soul ****. "Can't you See"dope af.

Like how Lil Wayne popped up and ripped it on My Corner.

Light work. Yawn. Still ain't nobody new in Rae's league.

It will certainly be better than Gibbs album. :100points:

That dude can rap, but MAN is he boring AF. He's never changed the tone in his voice a single time.
