Rapp over Lancaster

Yep. Lancaster was 5-1 coming into this game (loss to W&L)....Wins against Mathews, Middlesex, Nandua, West Point and King & Queen. Not exactly strong programs right now. So yes, I for one saw this coming. Pre-season I picked Rappahannock to finish 2nd in the NND this year. If they can knock off W&L next week, they have a good shot at finishing 2nd in the NND.

umm...yes. It has posted this season at least 5 times by a few different posters that Rapp is better than LHS.

It was discussed a couple times if Rapp will break the top 10. Now, I'm pretty sure that they will this week. I'm quite sure that they are better than a few of those teams. Are they elite, no. Only Essex and Riverheads are elite this season as has been known since last season.

Now, the upcoming game of W&L coming to Rapp will be the big Test to see if Rapp can make some noise in the playoffs. I plan to attend this contest.

W&L at Rapp -Definitely GOW for the East. Game in Warsaw will be of benefit to the Raiders.

Other NND action, Essex annihilates Lancaster if they so chose to do so.

Northumberland should defeat CB if they start off strong, everyone plays, and limit the turnovers. Just depends on which team shows up.

I was a little surprised they played very similar schedules. At the beginning of the year I said Rapp would finish second and Lancaster near the bottom. Then when Lancaster played W and L and it was close game my mind changed but, after this we will see how Lancaster fairs after Essex of course.

uvacavs1 I agree with what you have to say about Northumberland. Their are kids on the sideline that can pick up blocks on the o-line while a 400lb kid who can't even tie his shoes is starting. Northumberland needs to utilize the speed they have and stop trying to throw the deep ball and start trowing short.

Lancaster isn't very good (really small but athletic) and neither is Rapp. It's pretty bad football right now in the area other than a few teams. Rapp is just better than the rest of the bad teams.

Essex and Riverheads are top level by far. Then you have Sussex and Franklin at the next level. Then a huge drop off to some really bad teams, Rapp being the best of those (probably).

I have seen Franklin & Sussex play Colonial Beach also have seen Rappahannock play Colonial Beach. Rappahannock is on the same level as Franklin & Sussex. My opinion but Colonial Beach isn't good up front & both games against Franklin & Sussex game was a close game. Rappahannock control the line scrimmage against Colonial Beach. Playoffs will tell the story

Rappahannock's defense is just as good as any team in 1A, it's their offense that disappears at times. I am interested how the W&L Rapp rematch goes this time around. Rivalry games are weird, especially since Rapp isn't used to beating W&L on a consistent basis. I actually still think Rapp is the better team, but do they believe that? I think Rapp would beat Franklin and Sussex, but I guess time will tell...

No chance, zero, none that raps defense is as good as anyone's in 1a. Laughable - time will tell that's for sure. They might finish 8-2 and still won't be very good.

I'd take a mediocre altavista team over rapp, plus William Campbell and lune burg too.

They at the top of the list when it comes to how many points opposing offenses have scored against them this season. I know many factors contribute to that, but I do not feel like the statement is that outrageous.

They have played nobody. Best team they faced is w&l and they are way down and lost to them 20-2. Who else is on the schedule - Northampton, middlesex, Mathews, Lancaster, West Point, colonial beach. Rapp goes 7-3 or 8-2 this year, sounds good but when you dig deeper as I've stated they are just better than some really bad teams. I'll be happy to have some crow later but we'll have to wait til playoffs to really see. They probably get a first round win depending on their matchup but get bounced in second. If they play wc in first round 12/5 matchup they lose convincingly.
