Great season, West Point!! Through all the nonsense, y'all held tight and progressed further than some said you would. Great job, young men!! To the Tidewater district as a whole... Great season by all of the teams. Success can be measured in so many ways, not just by wins and losses. I think each and every team in the district accomplished something that will and should be considered a success!! Looking forward to what next season brings!!

A great game last night between these two new rival teams. West Point battled through a lot of adversity the whole year. Both teams fought hard and the penalties and injuries are what the turning point was in this game. WP couldn’t contain #7 West from Rapp, meanwhile all 3 TDS from WP came from a great passing game. Good luck to Rapp next week who face the region powerhouse!

Finally saw Gaines in person last night. Wow, with a coach who can scheme better, he’d be SHREDDING the opposition. His passes looked completely effortless and were frequently right on the $$$.

Shame that #5 Whitaker from WP couldn’t keep his cool last night. At some point, an adult (coach) needs to remove a kid like that from the game to send him the right message about his on-field impact. Doesn’t matter if it’s provoked by the other team; you can’t give up 15-yard penalty after 15-yard penalty because one kid wants to clap back at the opponent. Was sad the coaches didn’t sit him for a series to send a message. Anyone hear the exchange that finally got him ejected?

Agree, the whole district is on an upswing it seems. Hopefully that trend holds true for Tidewater teams in 2020!

After seeing it last night in-person, I have to agree. Talent all over the field for RHS, but standout talent at QB/RB. Hard to understand how some people get coaching gigs sometimes. Side note: Shouts out to J. Scott - Rapp’s Band Director, he has those kids making an impact in a positive way at their games!

If Rapp hired the coach away from Colonial Beach they'd really have something.
