Why not a lot of talk about this game? I haven’t had a chance to watch it

Rye Cove did a great job in terms of ball control in the first half. They ran the clock and were very disciplined and you could tell that they were a well-coached team.

Rappahannock made huge plays though. Athleticism and reversing in the open field combined with the quarterback keeping the play alive on the long touchdown pass proved to turn the momentum into their favor.

Rye Cove realized they were in trouble even when they went down 20-14 and even more so at 28-14 when they knew they didn’t have quick striking ability to catch up.

This game also had at least double or triple the crowd as the Class 6 game (I did the rare Class 6/Class 1 double and attended both) and the atmosphere was way better than North Stafford/Oscar Smith.

The C2 game between Glenvar and Strasburg had an even better crowd than the C1 game. (Was to be expected since Glenvar HS is 15-20 minutes away)
