Students were incredibly loud as was the rest of the crowd
Absolutely loved the "This Is OUR STATE" cheer hope we will incorporate that for football next year
The booing of the bears in the upper sections trying to do "Hotty Toddy" was epic as well
Hopefully this crowd will show up for Saturday vs UGA

it will probably be back to normal tomorrow against UGA. If it doesn't say 'ole miss" on the schedule our fans don't get excited.

You could hear it on television, although not nearly as loud as the Go To Hell Ole Miss cheer.

The "This is Our State" and "Go to Hell Ole Miss" cheers were very loud.

One thing that's always bothered me this year, though is why they do the "Maroon, White" cheer during opponent's free throws. It's nowhere near as loud or distracting as just yelling. Someone needs to fix this.

I directly contacted the decision makers on that....last summer. I'd hoped for them to kick this off last football season.

But I'll take what we've got. And I think it keeps rolling into next football season. It was probably smart to start this on a smaller scale to let it catch on before football season.

Hell, when Moultrie threw down the halfcourt opp, it looked like half of the people down low didn't even clap, much less stand up. It was the best the hump has looked and sounded all year but it didn't look anything like an a+.

Then you need to get an eye exam or a better TV. I was there and the place was as loud as it has been for any non-UK game in a long, long time. Great crowd. You can really tell that Strickland or the students got the message.

I thought the advertising still killed some of the momentum and the Pep Bandat times. Mic guy was better.

dang advertising needs to stop during the game. Let them advertise before the game and during halftime only. No advertising after the halfway point of each half should be allowed. Only pump up Pep Band and Cheers led by our Cheerleaders.

There were moments that were an A, but only moments. For a basketball venue, we have truly lost our homecourt advantage. Cheering when we do something good, does not put pressure on the opposition. We have to be loud while the opposing team has the ball. Other than a few times, we were essentially quiet while Ole Miss had the ball. There were a few times the crowd was alive when Ole Miss was on offense, but it was rare. <div>
</div><div>I will say this, it is obvious that this is not lost on the administration. They are making an effort to get the crowd involved, even suggesting and practicing chants pre-game - yes they actually did that, and instructed the crowd on when we were going to do certain cheers. For example, the mic guy got the crowd to practice going "oooooooooooohhh" and then advised that we were to do that while Ole Miss was on offense, but I don't recall us ever actually doing it during the game. </div><div>
</div><div>They also put pom poms on all the chairs in the lower level. But as they say, you can lead a fan to the pom pom, but you can't make them shake it. </div>
