Never knew he was the 2nd leading reciever behind Jerry Rice in the year they won the superbowl. Pretty impressive.

Jed York is a silver spoon little *****. He is more concerned to push his liberal political crap than he is working to continue the "tradition of excellence" that his Uncle dedicated his life to.

About f'n time, Niners. Still, a great honor for a Husker legend and Nebraska native. Among his many professional accomplishments, this is a good time to remember that Tom wore a Husker faceplate in his 49ers helmet (as did Roger Craig).

I'm betting there's no way in hell they would get away with that today.

If my memory serves (and it probably doesn't), I believe they only got away with it for a few games before someone noticed and the No Fun League cracked down. No way the NFL would let them do it today either, but it might be possible to get one past Roger for a game or two.

Don't forget Jamie Williams and Up the nose Dubose.

Hadn't forgot about Jamie Williams, but I don't recall if he joined Rathman and Craig in altering his helmet (I couldn't find a photo of him doing it anyway).

However, I did completely forget that "Nose" DuBose played for the Niners. Forgivable since it was such a short stint, but still.

why isn't Roger Craig in the Pro Football Hall of Fame? First RB to rush for a thousand and catch for a thousand in one season. Makes no sense.

Doesn't quite have the career numbers of other RBs but he should still be in the Hall. He was basically Marshall Faulk without as much longevity.
