I haven't been to anywhere in WV except my mom's house in McDowell county. Talk about a **** hole area. My comment is more aimed at areas in calif who have really screwed up the state with the most to offer anybody.
It's good to hear that Roanoke has no homeless, no homeless shelters, no places handing out meals to homeless people, quite amazing actually.
You said that Charleston's homeless problem is less than Roanoke's which is total nonsense. Roanoke has way more homeless shelters/soup kitchens than Charleston. Google if for yourself if you're not too busy denying your own words.

It is truly a shame, what has happened to Charleston. I grew up there in the fourties and fifties. City was divided East/West by the Elk River, two high schools with about 1500 students (CHS and SJHS). Both East Charleston and West Charleston had an upper class, middle class and poor. One other thing that both had was pride. I haven't been back excet for funerals in quite a while and from what hear, most of the whole town now is downtrodden and still heading down. Charleston had it's problems then but nothing remotely close to the situation now.
