Ray needs to go get some basketball players. Enough with the "athletes".

Just looking at our team before they hit the court you would think they could play but not a damn one of them knows any fundamentals at all. There are plenty of teams with lesser physical ability around the country with guys that might not have 40" verticals or be able to run very fast but at least they can hit free throws, an occasional three, and hound the perimeter on defense.

PS: No I am not saying go get a team of white guys. Guys like Daryl Wilson, Brandon Vincent, Greg Carter, etc. may not have been incredible athletes but at least knew they game.

The front row behind the bench is pretty much the coach's for recruits. It was all ways a hot bed of activity before, either recruits, high school coaches or others associated with players.

Now as far as I can tell, his wife, baby and one other lady pretty much make up the row. Except for the stray ad staff coping a seat.. His wife pretty much stays occupied with texting on her phone or playing with the baby, as she certainly doesn't seem to interested in the game. Not that I can really blame her for that.

Ray pretty much has a look of disgust on his face most of the time...

The announcers were pretty much making fun of him and the team last night...I would normally be pretty pissed off about that, but I was kinda agreeing with them..

Gotta say I do miss Shadrack, Meshak, and Abednego behind the bench with the Cheerleader. They had to have been the First Family of College Basketball.

I agree we need some FT shooters, but Stans last few teams couldn't shoot them either.

Is Ray in over is head? Maybe so... Time will tell.

With the success of our other teams, it might be time to dump some money into basketball. Like a lot of money. Like hire someone good's coach from under them money, and hopefully he can bring his AAU guys with him.

They could knock down a shot and play D though, when they wanted. The last couple Stans teams had the ability to do everything any of us want out of this current team. Whether they rose to the occasion or not is why Ray is here...

Here's my thing - I don't think it's that hard to find a potential walk on that's a knockdown 3 point shooter. For reference a guy like Riley Benock. Granted he wasn't a superb shooter, but was better than what we have and those guys are seemingly a dime a dozen in the midwest and most NAIA teams have at least one guy that is a very good spot up shooter.

I just can't belive it's impossible to find one that would be a walk on with a chance to earn a scholly.

Somehwhat in Ray's defense he thought he'd have Jalen to fill that role but knew he was coming off ACL so i would have thought he would try and have a backup plan if possible.
