Re: Gautreau

Hypothetically (and barring IB doesn’t make him the highest-paid assistant in the country), what caliber of program comes calling for Gautreau to be their HC this offseason? He’s got two young kids in school here and seems to love the place, and he seems to really be able to connect with both recruits and current players. I don’t want to lose him, but he’s got HC written all over him.

At best like La Tech, if Burrows gets hired by someone else.

Tulane, but they just got a new coach.

A mid-major type program

Gautreau should be able to wait for the right job to open for him. He would have to take a SEC, ACC, & Big 12 opening.

What are the odds that OM tries to hire him? Assuming they fire Bianco. I don’t think they would or that he would accept an offer, but crazier things have happened!

Unfortunately he would have to take the Ole Miss. He kinda fits their stereotype with his Scott Boras connections. I am not sure that OLEMISSFAN would be happy at all with that hire though.

....”he seems to love the place”...
Not this phrase again!
When we hear this phrase from a FB coach it usually doesn’t end well...
