we are thinking we should take it to 70,000 to 75,000. and no more.

As others have shown, it's hard to maintain quality after that point.

I read it somewhere that Tenneesee decreased and then Bama added 1 or 2 rows to give them about 1000 more seats.

If we had not hired that reject named Croom we would have more than likely already had renovations. He made CSPAN more fun to watch than a MSU football game. If his name had never come up when Alabama did not really look at him twice, we thought we should take a shot on him. We should have just taken a harder probation because he really put the program back. I really do not care how big our stadium is as long as it is full and we are beating every body's asses again.

UT has gotten 107k to 109k in there. they reduced it to around 100k, but SRO has em at 102k.

rumor has it that when UT and Michigan were battling for the biggest stadium that they didn't actually add "seats", they just narrowed the width of them (bench style).

I've heard a great big ole fellow had a hard time fittin' in one.

hell, when Dubose was there, I posted "tusk would crawl to starkville on hands and knees and beg sherrill to take the job".

the probation couldn't have been any worse, but at least we'd won some games.

The foundations for that stadium would support expansions of up to 200k in capacity (google the architecture of it, it was designed when stadiums that big were being built in Europe. A weird timing thing).

purely speculation, but I bet Bryant Denny couldn't get much more than 108. I think Davis Wade has plenty of room to go, could see it seating 80, easy. No endzone bowled in = wtf.

gave us permission to use cowbells. That's 30k loud *** bells that equals the noise. The bottom line is this, 100k or 110k. It doesn't matter the Decibelcan only go so high. Once you get to a certain point it all sounds the same. What Alabama needs more then more seats in the stadiumis a F4 Tornado to hit the stadium on a good Saturday in September to clean out the Gene pool a little. Every cattlemen will tell you that you have to replace the bull every once in a while. There is a reason why many states havestop allowingcousin toget married. By the looks of the average Alabama fan they have not figured that out yet.

I live in Austin now and the Horn fans were not happy with the outcome needless to say, but they did like the play of their freshman QB. I don't know if they will be able to catch Saban and crew this year but it is fun to listen to them tell me they will be.
