defensive line, DE to be exact. They think he will get more playing time more quickly in that position. It is starting to look like he would not have helped our LB situation at all this year which many folks had hung their hats on.

am surprised he appears to be struggling as much as he is because he appeared to be the real deal at LB.

Not sure of the truth to it, but it's been posted many times that he came in overweight and out of shape. Based on the move to de it appears to be true.

CJ may wind up being ok but he very well wind up being another over hyped MS high school player. It is hard to get motivated when you are paid to sign a piece of paper.

Yes, we do need help. But right now he can't get on the field for a defense that got shredded by a I-AA team last week.

Both played last weekend. Both are bust.

Apparently anyone who doesn't play a ton by the second game of their true freshman year is a bust.

Tobias played last week as well. He was used some in the return game and did a good job there. I think they'll continue to use him there. I think he has a great future, it's just taking him some time to adjust to the college game.

combined.

And there is no point in me mentioning your true freshman LBs, because despite the deficiency there, you signed none that qualified.

Do you not see how stupid this is?

The previously mentioned guys are true freshmen. Sanders is a redshirt freshman.

What is your point? Are you still so jilted over losing these guys that you declare them bust after two games into their true or redshirt freshmen seasons?

Johnson & Johnson and Morrowhaven'tplayed because we have depth at widereceiver. Do you know what that means or do you need someone to explain that to your dumb ***?<div>
</div><div>I think what you fail to grasp because your to 17in ignorant is that you guys have had more over hyped busts than guys who have lived up toexpectationsrecently and its enjoyable for us to point out how much wasted talent is in Oxford at the moment.</div>

Should have replied elsewhere. Nothing toward Dentaldawg. He asked if Tobias was being redshirted. I was replying to him and then made the next comment more in general. You may need to break out the "reply" pic. Should have replied to Snake.

I didn't feel it was defensive. Maybe the reply to Bonedaddy, but that's what he was looking for with the smack, right?

Sanders is playing behind Moncrief. Moncrief is the real deal. Sanders looks like he could be pretty good, but I think he's going to have to start working in at other WR spots to get on the field, because Moncrief isn't going to give up much time.

And yes, he's a redshirt freshman that's had the opportunity to play in 2 games so far.

Singleton played a good bit in the return game last week. It looks like we may use him a lot more in the return game going forward. He looked good in the return game. He has a larger frame than Scott and he gets north and south in a hurry.

Johnson is playing some. I'm glad to see we aren't throwing him on the field if he's not ready though, like we did with Chris Strong in 2007. Most true freshmen don't come in and start from Game 1 at a position like LB unless you either have no one at the position, or your coach is trying to make some sort of statement. Even Shackelford had to work into the rotation as a freshman, and he's the real deal. How many of your true freshmen are starting? And what positions? Can we declare the rest of them busts yet?

because all the "top secret practice reports" I hear about often contain gratuitous use of the words "freak", "beast", "4.3" and "animal". The way yall pour the sugar on these guys even if they were average players they would still beunderachievers. Hell back in the day I thought Michael Spurlock could walk on water.

The best linebacker to ever come through your program was a 2 star recruit. I've given up worrying about star ratings. I'd rather just wait until they play and see what we get (and not as true freshman). We've got some 4 stars that will never play a down on our team and some 2 stars that look great so far.

How about let's all skip the recruiting trophy presentations and the 2nd week pronouncements of 'Busts'.
