Do you hold the SEC regular season title in the same regard as the SEC tourney title?</p>

for 3-4 games in a row and win the tourney... Then they go into the NCAA's overmatched and (typically) have an early exit. Yes, there are exceptions on both sides, but I'm talking year in, year out.

16 games vs. 4 games Also, a 4-12 Georgia team won the SECT a couple of years ago.

I put more credence in regular season titles too, but it's still a hell of an accomplishment to win an SEC tourney so it's close. And don't we print banners and t-shirts that say "SEC Champions" when we win baseball or basketball tourneys?

Georgia winninig was very much an abberation, normally your tourney champ is going to be one of your 2-3 best teams.

Thanks for the "slapping c34 around" props though

LSU- 3 SEC titles, Sweet 16, Final Four

State- 1 SEC title, 2 Tourney titles...2 more conference wins than LSU in last 10 years

You'd have to say LSU has been the best in the West the last 10 years

I would think the best in the West over the last ten years would be the team that has won it the most. Compare LSU and MSU head to head over the last 10 years genius if you need proof. Also, great coaching by Trent Johnson against Bama the other day in Baton Rouge.

Exactly, but you're not going to hear that from a die hard LSU fan like c34.
We've had a better overall record, better SEC record, more division titles, more NCAA appearances, and have been better head to head.
None of that includes what's likely to happen this year, when we finish ahead of them, add another possible West title, and sweep them aGAIN.

This guy does think Les Miles is better than Nick Saban though
