I had to watch the game on DVR and knew the game wasn't really in jeopardy. That said I think there were some good things today. I'm thrilled to be on the right side of the turn over members, been a long time coming.

We knew we weren't top 5 material yet, but a lot of football to be played, I think we keep getting better.

I've thought Pat Fitzgerald was an awful coach after the second time we played them since joining the Big 10. After beating us the year before, he did everything opposite of what they did to beat us the prior year.

THANK YOU!!!!!
I'm sick of hearing about what a great coach Fitzgerald is. He may be good at taking talent and making it better, but his in game strategy is horrendous. Rushing three against Martinez? Playing a statue qb instead of the runner that killed us? Always felt fortunate playing against pat.
His three rushers late in the game philosophy bit him in the *** again today. Watched as the southern Illinois qb tore them apart and they also ran for a few first downs on that game winning drive.

I can't be the only guy here who has listened to Gary Dinardo ********....

I have been preaching about how important The 3rd and 4th games are to this season... Let's just say I'm more confident we won't be 0-2 after Fitz team could only score 7 points.

Okay, so are all us fans on the same page now? If Riley gets beat by Fitz...well...Riley should start working on his retirement plan, right?

I agree with this. Not enough can be made about the turnover margin. It has been so long since we have been on that side of the equation. It is much much easier to win games when your team is in the plus column as well.

I am sure they are going to harp on that one INT, so that they can try to minimize that from happening. But we saw how quickly things got out of hand for Wyoming when they started turning the ball over. Their QB was trying to do too much.. reminded me of someone else last year.

Winning the turnover margin is big and we need to keep doing that.
